Just informed that my Rogue SZ 15* is on backorder until 3/26.  Ordered thru Discount Dans.....want the Evenflow Black shaft.

DD says the culprit is the shaft.  They didn't get their supply of the EF Black as expected.  Have plenty of the EF Blue, but no Black.

I looked around for info on that....didn't see any.

Thanks for the update.  Hopefully they show in a couple weeks like Cally estimates.

I ordered mine from fairwaygolfusa with the EF black and it took about 3 weeks total.

I LOOOOVE mine.  I've been playing cally woods since the original x hot.  these are probably the best they've made...honest.

I added some weight to my head.  It was like D1 (maybe because I have a 75g shaft?...)  It's up to D3 now.  simply amazing!

Just got my Rogue SZ 15* EvenFlow 75g 6.0 today, got an incredible deal from a WRXer. Can't wait till its warm enough here in NY to get to chelsea piers.

I have an ACCRA FX360 M5 in my driver and x100s in my irons- I'm aware I should upgrade the shaft (deal was too good to pass). Newbie equipment type question:
  • the head came with a 10g weight, shaft is 75gs- will this help keep trajectory/spin down until i get fitted into a proper shaft?
  • reliable source to purchase additional weights for when I get into the right shaft?

Thanks!

Mine came with 75g shaft and a 2 gram weight (stock from Callaway).  came in around D1.  I wrapped lead tape on the screw to bring it up to D3.  10g weight might be in the D6/D7 range...

Looking at the 18* SZ and 17* Rogue.  I need more loft than the 15*, currently play SLDR 3HL (16.5*) with Tour Blue.  What differences will I see in feel off the face, forgiveness and launch when comparing these?

Ive always found Callaway woods to launch easier off the deck than TM.  Best advice is to demo.

6.0. Its working beautifully!  I like the little extra help to get the ball up the 6.0 provides over the 6.5.  3 wood is usually a smoother swing than driver so 6.0 works great for me.

I just ordered the driver with EF Black. Got the same message which I knew going in. It's weird because I would have thought that'd be their best or second best selling shaft.

The demand is probably why it's backordered.

The hzrdus yellow 83x is a really good shaft.  I have it in a 5 wood currently and will be coming in rogue SZ fairway...

How does it play to flex? I'm undecided between the 83S and the 83X in a SZ 5w. Probably going with 83S and tipped an extra half inch.

I don't know about the fairway shaft but the driver shaft is really soft, at least to me.

Looking at the 18* SZ and 17* Rogue.  I need more loft than the 15*, currently play SLDR 3HL (16.5*) with Tour Blue.  What differences will I see in feel off the face, forgiveness and launch when comparing these?

My 18* SZ is out for delivery today. If I can hit the range after work I'll give you an update.

Following up to this, got out to the range last night. For reference I generally tend to play a 3HL/4w as my second club in the bag. This is two fold, sometimes I have trouble elevating shots off the deck with the 3w as I tend to hit the ball a little on the lower side, and with the change in fairways the past few years to be lower spin this issue was exacerbated, so I was lofting up. Also, I found that the typical 3w was going too far for me, leaving a big gap between it and my next closest club, either a 7w or a driving iron/hybrid.

I got the 18* rogue SZ with the hzrdus yellow, and I have to say I'm very optimistic about this club. Face is square to a bit open. As others have said, it's plenty easy to hit off the deck, and based on how the 18* played I'd think the 15* wouldn't be much of an issue either. Launch was a bit higher than I'm used to, but still plenty acceptable, and I was also hitting into the wind with crappy range balls so that might have made them flight up into the wind a bit. Previous 3/4 was a Steelhead XR 4+ with the hzrdus black, and the flight on that was more penetrating, but also made it more of a challenge off the deck. I may swap that hzrdus black into the rogue sz and see if it changes anything. Looking down on it it very much reminded me of my old x2hot pro in terms of size, shape and feel. Feel was great, even on slightly off center hits. Performance is probably similar to the SLDR mentioned above, but with more forgiveness, and from what I saw higher launch. For the record, the SLDR 5HL has been in my bag for the last 3 seasons and I'm a big fan of those as well, but they can be a tad demanding if your swing is off.

I think if Callaway made this somewhere in the 16-17* range that would likely be what I gravitated to, based on what I hit yesterday it might be perfect. In that regard it's slightly frustrating to me they didn't make that, especially given the adjustability is gone, and I don't know many people around here I'd trust to bend a fairway wood correctly. But I think it's still a very good club and will be going in the bag to start the season. The regular Rogue does come in 17*, but generally fairways with the weight back like that turn into hook machines to me, so I wouldn't go that route.

Great info, thanks for taking the time to respond.  I think I am going to try the 17* Rogue and the 18* SubZ Rogue side by side to start.  For me I do need that extra forgiveness that the SLDR doesn't provide and want more trajectory with my fairway wood.  I looked at both heads side by side last night at a local Dicks.  I will get these outside on the course and write back once the snow melts here in NY.

Received my 5 wood today. Was only able to swing it about a dozen times on the range but this is really long. I need to learn to hit a fairway off off of the ground again. I was kinda miffed that it's 18*. I guess I didn't do my research and just assumed it would be 19*. I guess I will have even gaps on my woods then (9*, 13.5*, 18*). This really creates a big hole from my 5w to my 4i. I need to learn to choke up on the 5w too.

The 15 sz continues to impress.  Even got a buddy that bought it, and he loves it also.  Coming from the TM M2 tour, the extra forgiveness of the rogue has been huge.  I hit it off the tee a lot and its been excellent.  Long when hit and seems to find a way to stay in play.  It launches so easily that even shots hit low on the face stay mid flight.  I've gone through a lot of fairway woods, especially the last 6 years or so, but this is shaping up to be the best fairway wood I've every had.

I'd start with Henrik.

If not, may be a long shot, maybe Sergio!

Puzzling that they made a 16.5 and it’s not available to the public.

We always want what we cant have. Now, that being said. Callaway should release the 16.5 version since they took away the adjustability. They have a 17 degree in the regular head...
