Hello guys,

Anyone have any experience ordering from Tourspec to the UK?  Any additional costs via tax/customs etc?  Had read there are possible issues with fake clubs from here but admittedly I know virtually nothing about this website.

Appreciate any help :)

How much VAT and Duty is due on a set of irons costing £800?

Haven't had the balls to order yet, really don't want to get hit with a lot of extras on an already expensive set of clubs!

Are the customs duties less in the Republic of Ireland? Any friends there who could accept delivery?

very similar as both in the EEC

can check online what Irelands Vat rate is

Honma 737VS have arrived, I think the kind man who sent these wonders to me accidentally put their value at way below what they cost to keep a lid on charges.

Although I cant be certain

Huh. It's funny. I had a guy in my area of orange county selling out a 4-P of Honma V's with 950S's new in the box he won at a tournament and I passed on them because he was asking so low and I thought for sure they were counterfeit. Turns out, Honma makes some models in China. I missed out. Guy won them in a tournament and was selling them pennies on the dollar. Good luck with your Honmas. They really are a great stick

I think my experience may be the wrong way round for people here but last year I bought a set of MP-18s in the UK and had them shipped to Japan (coals to Newcastle?). When they turned up on my doorstep in Japan, I had to pay about an extra 35 pounds (at the time) in customs (around 5,000 yen, IIRC). However, I think I cocked up as when I bought them I might have been able to get VAT taken off because I was getting shipped straight to Japan. So I should have been able to avoid paying the UK VAT (is it 20% now?).

I always get my stuff from the UK as I get 20% off and HK has no custom charges. I’m trying Rakuten now for some end of line Srixon goodies - u65 2 iron for 100 quid and a 565 murdered out driver with Speeder shaft for just over 200 pounds!
