Hello guys,

Anyone have any experience ordering from Tourspec to the UK?  Any additional costs via tax/customs etc?  Had read there are possible issues with fake clubs from here but admittedly I know virtually nothing about this website.

Appreciate any help :)

I wanted Japan spec forged clubs and was very worried about buying direct. I went to a supplier and fitter here in the UK.
I had no worries for authenticity and ended up with fantastic clubs that were cheaper than similar from American Golf (i.e. Callaway X forged or Titleist forged).

Tour Spec Golf is a reputable dealer.  I have purchased thousands of dollars in Irons, Shafts and heads from Chris & Jacque.

I'm in the USA so I can't speak to your other questions but the products they sold me are genuine.  I will say the email only communication is a bit odd but
the service I received has always be fantastic.

I hope this helps

I’ve order numerous putters, wedges and irons from Chris when living in the US.  Now in the UK and hit with customs tax last year on a putter of about 50.

Products are legit.  You will most likely be hit with heavy shipping costs, so maybe negotiate that.

i havent ordered from tour spec but i do order from rakuten.

thwe import VAT charges are 20% of total cost including shipping, then you get hit with Customs fee then clearance fee.

I paid £174 total on a set of irons that cost £744 inc shipping.

So total cost for 4-pw was £918

I've ordered a few things from Tourspec.  I dealt with Chris directly.  Never had a problem.

Be happy to. Haven't booked yet but probably will be fixing it up in a months time.
Lets hope our teams (Bfd & Mfc) make the playoffs

Haven't had the balls to order yet, really don't want to get hit with a lot of extras on an already expensive set of clubs!

Are the customs duties less in the Republic of Ireland? Any friends there who could accept delivery?

Not sure pal, definitely something to look into I guess. There's some decent second hand sets on eBay but there's something about owning something brand new but if I want it that bad I'll just have to accept the extra charges 🙁

I just bought and received a set of onoffs from tourspec golf....though I am in U.S. I got free shipping.....and it was bit substantial on freight bill.....

Had that been the total price of clubs I don't know I would have bought em

But I got my set of onoff 4-pw for less than I paid here for new set of 718 Ap2 5-pw....so

Pretty happy with tourspec

That's typically how they sit in customs when I order from Japan. Not sure how you got free shipping though. TSG typically has the highest shipping prices from Japan. What I get an 8 shafted club set shipped for, he ships 5 club heads at the same price. Probably the biggest reason I don't order from them.

I think my experience may be the wrong way round for people here but last year I bought a set of MP-18s in the UK and had them shipped to Japan (coals to Newcastle?). When they turned up on my doorstep in Japan, I had to pay about an extra 35 pounds (at the time) in customs (around 5,000 yen, IIRC). However, I think I cocked up as when I bought them I might have been able to get VAT taken off because I was getting shipped straight to Japan. So I should have been able to avoid paying the UK VAT (is it 20% now?).
