Congrats on finding your irons for 2018! I'm a Titleist guy myself, and I like hearing good things about the new line. I do think the monitor you used may be a bit skewed however as it's basically impossible to achieve a 1.47 smash factor with an iron.

Oh I also hit the MP18 SC.  They were much better than the first few attempts at them.  Feel was great.  Numbers were good.   Didn't feel quite as good as Xforged and Wasn't as forgiving as Ap2 so at that point i decided to move on.   I could play them no problem though

Great info OP. While I love my Apex irons I have also hit the Titleist and they are amazing. Odds are you'd love the SM-7 wedges also.

You could always combo the X forged UT with the X forged. They blend well. I am switching back and forth between x forged and MP18.

Thanks for your thoughts!!

I play the AP2 716 right now and will have a look at the rogue pros, I hope for more forgiveness and that the spin is not dropping toooo much!

The XForged is definitely one of the best looking clubs right now in the market! Will hit them too, but I think the rogue pro is the better choice for me.... XForged are more like AP2 right?

One last question: how did you like the look of the rogue pro Iron, especially the top line?

yes Xforged is more AP2 like... moreso than the Rogue Pro but the Rogue isn't really that big.  It's a good iron.

I tried stock AP2 with tour white and they felt great but not as good as the Xforged.  More forgiving in the long irons for sure.

Surprised the 3 and 4 iron was a deciding factor in your purchase when we live in a world of hybrids.

Fukkkkkkkkkkk

You could have easily went 5-PW in the X Forged with a 3 & 4 Callaway X Forged UT for more forgiveness.

Congratulations on your new set of irons.  I've been going through some many of the same iron sets hoping to not make the same mistake I did in 2014 when I purchased new irons.

In 2014, it was between AP2's, Mizuno, and apex pro forged.  The apex pro forged felt best, didn't get on monitor, but when I received them I was vastly underwhelmed and my iron game isn't nearly as good as with the 710 AP2's that I loved.

Fastforward a couple years, and I'm now looking at the AP2's and the Mizuno MP 18 SC and MP 18 blades.  Ended up going with the Mizunos because the feel is just so pure when struck solid.  Luckily I'm an ok iron player so I should be able to manage the smaller head.  I play similar to you, around a 4 handicap.  Also, made sure I was properly fitted and going with the Dynamic Gold AMT X100 shafts.
