best buy discontinuing Kapersky, now offers Trend Micro or web root, anyone use these ?

I've used Avast for years with good results. 'Never had a virus. The near constant nagging to buy additional add-on's is getting a bit tiring, though.

Microsoft Security Essentials is probably good enough for most folks.

Microsoft.  Not overly slow, no pop ups to buy buy buy and lastly, I haven't got a virus since it came out which includes my single days of internet use..........

Avast or Panda are the two I've used for a while now (both "free" versions).


I wouldn't be able to say if they are doing what they are supposed to do or not. I guess they are..?

This plus having the Windows Firewall etc as well works for me. Avast alerts when something nasty tries to happen and blocks it straight away.
