cirbie?...wtf??? surprised she doesn't play in doc's.
kim is def. the strongest player.
the 250yd 5-wood was hilarious. but the most shocking were the shots from 50 yards? those chicks sucked. they couldn't even hit the damn green from 50 yards???? they make women in general look bad.
they heavy one and the older one in the stupid hats.......i just don't get it. neither of them have game.
i am no feminist....you all know that.....but what the H is up with this show when they go to show a shot...they start by zooming in on the chicks hips and then slowly zooming out. i understand the purpose...and it isn't golf related in anyway. and you're lucky that they only do it on the skinny chicks....i waited for the big girl to get the zoom in....alas....no. but enjoy it. i find it highly annoying.
i'm just sayin, when they do the big break dudes....they don't zoom in on their junk.
i most identify with adrianne as far as game, build, swing, attitude.............minus the flaming red curly hair and deep southern accent.....she's my pick.

I also got to see that the winner of this one gets a chance to play in the Navistar event which is now held here at my local Trent Jones course. I didn't get to go to last years because of work but will defenitely be there for this one.

Hopefully the big girl will get booted first. She thinks she is better than them all but she is a ars like that senior guy that got booted by that 15 handicap Mark (from BB1)....

"oh well...it's just a game, right?"
"I want to play in the eliminations because we get to play more games"
WTF? This is going to be like a train wreck. I won't want to watch, but.....

As for Cirbie, who knows what she's doing there. Visual purposes?
Is it just me or is Adrienne absolutely amusing on the side? She has amusing side comments.

Anybody check out Cirbie's bag? Playing with a 975J, 975F, and a SC Ti3. The putter I can understand still being in the bag, but the woods? You'd think she'd upgrade to more forgiveness and technology - she needs it.
From Lori's bio:
At age 13, her drinking and drug addiction eventually led to a suicide attempt. Later, at 25, she tried cocaine for the first time and was hooked. During her destructive early twenties when she was caught in a vicious circle of drugs and alcohol, she worked at the TPC at Eagle Trace in Coral Gables, Fla. At 27, in an attempt to help Atsedes straighten out her life, her grandmother gave her the money to go play golf in Europe.

I'm on the fence about this season. I mean, I'll take it (it's golf and it's good looking women and there is some talent to be seen, it's still REALLY early) but when the real golf-season starts and is in full swing, I have less tolerance for mediocre golf-things. When it's 28 degrees and snowing in NYC and playing golf is months away, I'll watch anything, even SkyCaddie and GolfLogix commercials just to see some golf. But now, they'll have to work harder to keep my attention. Zooming in on their junk (thanks crabby) won't be enough for me, because believe it or not, the "Real World" portion of the show is not the reason I watch.

I think, er, hope they were nervous, and that was why they played so-so. I was unimpressed with the golf. Nice people.
The thing is, I see the problem with the format now. I never watched Survivor, I thought it was stupid. But I did start watching Biggest Loser (the weight loss show). At first I was horrified by the concept of taking morbidly obese people and putting them on camara for entertainment. But I watched enough to see why it works.
It works because eventually you care about the outcome, because you see how hard they work, and you get to know enough about them to care, as much as you can, about someone you are unlikely to meet.
I see clearly how Big Break could modify to be more interesting.
1. Break into pairs or teams, give them enough time to bond. Might create teams with different level players (A, B, C vs. A, B, C)
2. Have coaches.
3. In the early rounds, put a couple players into elimination danger, and let the others pick who has to leave.
But I'll keep watching, hoping it gets better.

Could those two elimination holes be any easier? A short wide open par 5 and a short wide open par 4.
Only one player (Susan) could barely sneak it past 200 yards in the grid with driver. I don't care how hard the wind is blowing, that's weak.
No wonder the drama and conflict is being highlighted now more than any previous series. Aside from Kim, Adrienne and maybe a couple others it's doubtful par would be broken on an LPGA setup by these ladies. There were some decent short irons and wedges, but that's it.

Christina had a bit of a rough start in yesterday's elimination, but Lori came through for her in the crunch. It was nice to see that teamwork.
Dana and Lori are about to drop their gloves one of these days I think and I'm still not sure why - haha...more drama to come I guess.
Here's what Christina had to say about the episode 10 minutes after it aired (don't forget, they have no idea what's going to be shown on TV).

Who would you want to room with? I choose Dana the cougar, she seems the funnest. She also hugs her roommate alot.

A few of the girls have some game.
Cirbie is hot.

for the next duramed tournament being held this weekend in McAllen TX the average par 5 length is 499.5 yards.
Posted 23 April 2008 - 06:10 PM
It was the first time I ever broke 90.
I am pretty sure the ladies at BB will be playing the Royal course which is much longer in future shows.
