Supposed to be playing down in Pinehurst this weekend and the forecast looks great...with one problem..this snow today is throwing a kink into the whole thing.  So I figured what better place to try and dig up some info than GolfWRX...bound to be some on this board that live in the Sandhills area.  How much snow do you guys have now?

Thanks.

You can't make this up but the roads are so bad, Dale Earnhardt Jr, went off the road and hit a tree.

Sending good thoughts your way that you get to play!

No snow on the NASCAR circuit!  Been driving my whole life in the snow without a 4x4 and never been stuck.

I'm about 20 miles north of Pinehurst, and we've got 7 inches of snow and it's still coming down. You may want to go to plan B
Cobra Fly-Z driver
Cobra Speed LD 3 wood
Adams LS 3 hybrid
TM Rocketbladez 4 - AW
Ping Tour 56
TM ATV 60
Scotty Cameron Newport 2

Thanks...7 inches won't melt off in two days so plan B might be the only option.

If you don’t mind it being a little wet, I think you’d be ok man. It’s supposed to be  much warmer the next 2 days.

Pine Needles is my fav course down there. Dormie is fantastic too. Tobacco Road is a must play as well.

Pine Needles is great, and I like Mid Pines even better.  I own a condo at Talamore and get to that area a couple of times every year.  Let me know if you'd like recommendations for bars and restaurants, or anything else.

I’m heading down the last week of March as a single to play Dormie, Mid Pines, and Tabacco Road. Any good restaurants you recommend?

Where are you staying?
Some of my favorites
Pizza at Etailia, Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines
English-style gastropub with good beers,, great food, the Sly Fox, Morganton Road and SW Broad Street, So. Pines
Sports bar in Pinehurst Village, Maxie's
Barbecue, the Pickin' Pig at the Carthage Airport.  This is a ways from town, but kind of on your way back from Tobacco Road
If you're looking for something else, let me know.

You'll be on 15-501, not far from the busy part of US Rte 1.  If you go north, you'll find every chain restaurant you could want, Outback, Bonefish Grill, Olive Garden, etc.  The places I've mentioned are all locally owned establishments, which is what I prefer when I can find it.  Have fun!
