Alright everyone!

We all know if you're a true WRX'er, you have a favorite brand. Your "ride or die" brand. Maybe it was because of a club you had years ago. Maybe it's because they made something you didn't own but always sought after. Maybe it's their tech or just appearance.

Now let's talk about about those OTHER brands...the brands you just don't even look at when you're online or in a shop. The brand that even if they threw a sponsorship, you'd say "ehhhh lemme think about that...". I know it's hard to not get too emotional but let's try to keep this nice and friendly.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Cobra. All started back with the 440sz. Not sure why I didn't like it and why I'm not a fan of their stuff but just doesn't rev my engine. Another brand would be Ogio. It all started when they came out with those Woode bags. I was caddying for a year when those came out. So many golfers at my course got them!!! The thought process behind putting the woods in that way just made no sense to me. Plus some golfers put their woods in the side slots as they designed the bag for but then others didn't follow that way. Not to mention, the straps were garbage and that bag was always heavy even empty.

Lemme know what brand you aren't a fan of and the reasons why you're not a fan of them!

For a long time, I wouldn't play Callaway.  I didn't like it when they were building and marketing a non-conforming driver.  Won't play PXG because they are overpriced and I think Bob Parsons is a jerk.

I don't discriminate against any particular brand, but I will say that Ping and Callaway irons have not suited my eye since the very beginning, with the possible exception of some of Callaway's more normal offerings aimed toward better players. I've used woods from both companies though.

P.S. I love Cobra.
Cobra King F7 (Kuro Kage Silver TiNi DC 60)
Cobra AMP 4w (Comp CZ)
Mizuno MP-H4 3 iron (Aldila Tour Green 85)
Mizuno MP-H4 4 iron (Steelfiber 95)
Mizuno MP-25 5-PW (Steelfiber 110)
Cleveland Tour Action, 50 deg. (Stock DG)
Nike Engage 56 deg. (Recoil 95)
Nike Engage 59 deg. (Recoil 95)
Scotty Cameron Big Sur Platinum (38") or my old Bullseye (35")

I'm clearly partial to PING, but I'd play (almost) any company.  I'm not keen on TaylorMade or Cobra anymore, so they're off the table...

PXG. It's nothing truly special that pretty much every OEM has done at one time or another.  Plus, the average joe can't even sniff them without harvesting organs.  We can fit anything else for a fraction of the price.

I dont really like Callaway because I dont like the way their logo looks. I do, however, play the chrome soft x balls, so I can get over that.

It started when I was younger.  Everyone on the golf team wanting Titleist professionals.  I played the Tour Edition, Maxfli HT, Z Balata, and EX Extra Spin.  I never owned a 975D.  I was given a Cameron putter once and promptly gave it to someone else.  I refused to put a Titleist in the bag and still do. I am not sure why, maybe it was the everyone wants it thing, maybe I am weird.  No I am weird for sure, but no idea why any of that bothered me.  Having owned a putter company and learning lots of dirty secrets I have an even bigger disdain for Titleist.

However I am a huge 3 WOOD ho.  My sickness with 3 woods is so far reaching that I actually bought a Titleist 3 wood based on Dufner's Waggle (another 3 wood connoisseur) of course it worked for one round and my natural disdain for Titleist won and I sold it to a buddy of mine.

PXG the owner and his commercials are an insult to anyone with a brain, Nike just junk, Titleist no good reason.

Titleist and PXG.  I'm not a fan of their business practices.

There are brands in which I have no interest (Wilson and Cobra to name two), but that doesn't mean I wouldn't play them.  Just very, very unlikely.

I don’t like that Nike tries to buy their way into any sport/ athletic endeavor. Surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding. I’m surprised they don’t make tents or sleeping bags ( or do they?)

I think I liked it because I was in high school and the assistant pro at my course gave it to me. Since that, I've looked at Titleist but always found something better. I think it might be their marketing and their stupid Pro-V1 ads. Something about a lady who looks like she's lucky to get 80mph club head speed and when she says "I need a pro-v1 just as much as the pros do!" Really? Cuz you need to hit and stick that 6 iron from 195 to win your state am title? Cuz you need to carry that creek at 275 and you're into the wind down by 3 with 4 left to play?

Taylormade. Never cared for their products or advertising, and lately seem to have gotten worse with how they treat customers.

Callaway and Cobra have some of the best CS, and I would love to play Ping or Mizuno as they seem to really get the golf industry engineering and not just produce snake oil. Callaway however is starting to wear me a little with their constant releases. If it weren't for their wedges and ball I could probably do without them as well.

Ping, because their woods have those textured thingies on the crown. I can't abide that.

I have to agree. If I were to ever own a Ping metal wood, I am pretty sure it would be pre-Turbulators.

Callaway. I think their clubs are ugly, the logo is ugly, and their recent "lifestyle brand" marketing rubs me the wrong way. I realize my attitude is childish and petty, but I'm entitled to that opinion. All that being said, they've been making some really good clubs over the last couple of years. So I give them credit for that. I just wouldn't play them, even if they were better for my game.
