Going thru storage area that had a small golf bag that I brought on trips many years ago. Was ready to toss the thing out when I found a wind shirt in the side pocket, tucked inside was a metal flask 1/2 filled with Makers Mark I am guessing its 6 years old Will the bourbon be safe to drink?

Negative.  Please send it to me for safe disposal.

Direct sun light would be bad, but seems like heat is your only concern.  Give it a sniff and then give it a go.

I've enjoyed 30 plus year old bottles stored in less than ideal conditions.

I was more concerned with the metal inside the flask but I guess even sitting it would not rust.

Most flasks are made from corrosion resistant metals. It might have an ďaluminum canĒ taste, but itís safe to drink.
