Congrats man. You beat the other two entries!

I think getting advice from guys who are sitting at the computer in their underwear while taking a break from porn is a very solid way to choose clubs. - bluedot

Hey Guys! Thought I would post my experience with club lender. Since I won I thought I would give it a shot even though, I knew the clubs wouldn't really spec out for me (Im short and heavy... x flex shafts few degrees flat).

but in short Clublender and its team was awesome! They were very communicative and let me know what was going to happen and what I would need to do (which wasn't much). I was very happy with their service and would recommend it if you live in CA and would like to try a set they have to offer.

First off. Their website was really easy to navigate and the home page explains everything you need to use their service. At first I thought how would this work since I am not in the Los Angeles Area, where it would be easy for them to deliver the clubs to me. However if you are outside they do ship via UPS (score!). Picked my callaway set, pick the date I was playing (they do show what dates are available). The next page allows you add accessories (Balls, Glove, even a laser range finder!). The balls were fairly priced per sleeve ($6 - $12 for callaway low tier ball to a prov1), Stasof glove ($25) and renting the laser $30. I didn't need any of it so skipped to check out and put my information in.

a couple days before my clubs shipped out I got a call from Chris at Clublender who explained everything to me. He let me know when the clubs should arrive and since it was going to my residence it would require a signature. Let me know there would be a sleeve a vice balls in the bag that I won and divot tool that I could keep. Chris also explained when done to reuse the box and tape the provided return label on and just bring it to UPS.

I played golf on Presidents day and the clubs arrived on the 17th. A minor setback was that I had to wait for the clubs all day Saturday to sign for them... and mind you for this shipment UPS did not give me a window when it was going to arrive like it usually does for all my shipments to my address. The clubs arrived like at 8:30PM :(

The box arrived, I liked that clublender used Velcro for the tops to make it easier to reuse the box. However I can see it being a liability for clublender, anyone could just pull the Velcro off and take the clubs.

The clubs were all brand new (I was in awwww, like it was Christmas). the bag had the raincover on and when I pulled it off all the clubs had iron covers to protect them.

image2.jpg

Let me say this was my first experience with a Vessel Bag, this bag is so beautiful and well crafted. I looked them up online ... the $300 price tag explains everything LOL

image4.jpg

Played my round of golf with them! played exceptionally well for clubs that don't fit my specs (this is golfwrx right? have to brag a little). The clubs worked great, this was my first time trying the epic line. I was very impressed with the 3 wood off the deck, driver was sneaky long and the hybrid seemed hot. The Apex cf16 irons were stupid easy to hit, It's been a while since I played irons that were forgiving as these and these don't look super clunky. The MD3 wedges and the O works putter was cool too. I also won a sleeve of Vice Pro+ balls, wow these are legit! (I am a prov1x player). I would buy a box of these no problem (surprised they are almost half the price of the Prov1x)

image6.jpg

Got home after round put the iron covers on, made sure none of my personal stuff was in the bag put the bag in the box used the Velcro to close it up, taped on the provided return label. Dropped off the box to my local Staples (ups store) and that was it.

Clublender is pretty awesome, I think it will work and hope they do well. I think it's a great way to try out premium clubs on the course. I can see Clublender evolving their service so that maybe you can mix and match your rental set (try tmag woods, PXG irons, etc etc.), maybe have a different shafts to try.

Thanks for the opportunity Clublender and Golfwrx

I just noticed my review didn't post for some reason when I did it months ago. That's a real bummer because I spent a good amount of time writing it up. Oh well, I'll write another one when I get back into town I guess. Thanks again and sorry for the delay. I have no idea what happened
