Kering the parent company of Puma is selling off the company to share holders. Kering currently owns 86% of Puma and in the end will own 16%.

No news has been announced regarding Cobra, BTW this is the first month that allows Kering to sell or dissolve Puma, up  until now they have been unable to do as part of the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement of PUma/cobra.

what happens to Puma next, well only time will tell but this is a pretty unusual move by a parent company. Most companies would just out right sell it to another company or group. Probably no buyer for the golf portion of the business (apparel and footwear) their footwear has turned into a bit player of urban lifestyle catagory. Puma soccer cleats market share has been depleted by adidas, UA, Nike and a couple of others.

Well, I hope the new owners continue the same path the company is on right now with golf clothing.
I happen to think they have the best quality and design in golf attire for the price (which is on par with Nike and Adidas)

Golf shoe wise Puma are the only shoes that have genuinely kept my feet 100% dry over here on the wet'n'windy west coast of Scotland. Had FJ, Skechers, Adidas, Nike, Ecco etc.

Puma wins hands down and they are dam comfortable too.

I’m really surprised they haven’t been able to find a buyer for cobra after all this time.

True, however they now have operating control which they did not before.
Hence, I refer to them as new owners - possibly somewhat a loose interpretation, nevertheless decision makers have changed.

Stating the obvious but Puma clothes and shoe style are more edgy.  This differentiate them from the other brands.  Having Fowler as an ambassador doesn't hurt.  I hope they turn the corner soon.
