Besides the obvious huge increase in difficulty hitting it off the deck, what would happen if you had a 460cc driver head that was actually lofted at 14-17*?

I feel like this could have a lot of potential as a teeing club, especially for seniors who (A) don't have the swing speed and transition to elevate even a 10-11* driver properly but (B) would benefit from the increased forgiveness of a larger clubhead and face rather than just hitting a traditional 3W.

I think you can find 14* and maybe 16* SLDR drivers, Callaway also makes 13.5* Drivers(X2Hot and Bertha V series) that can be lofted up to 15.5*. At 3w length they would just be a 3w that most can only it off a tee.

They already make high lofted drivers that can be tweaked to 14-15.5 degrees, nothing new here

460 cc fwy would be 17 inches from face to the back of the crown to keep the face from being too deep. I think what you're thinking of is a mini-driver. But regardless, 460cc isn't happening for a mini driver or a fwy.

Too much of a one trick pony to fill a slot in the bag. But as already stated, SLDR at 14 or 16 degrees. The SLDR Mini was like 260cc or so, and some stiff have difficulty off the deck even at that size and a 43.5" shaft.
