We have the plastic ones with the three reference striped on the shaft.  They don't go into the turf worth a cr$p.  You kind of have to jam them in the ground to pierce the turf, then adjust the height.  I don't know why they can't seem to cast them with a point profile like the wooden ones, but they can't.  They're also not rigid enough like the wooden ones.  I have to assume that the pro shop did their homework and bought the best ones available, but there's never any free lunch.  I'm all for saving the resource though, so we suffer.  Some day they'll figure it out.  Before titanium drivers, nobody used plastic tees, of course, because they'd make dents in the face of your Persimmon driver on an off-center strike.  The perfect "tour issue" tee is still in our future....

Pride Tees, the most popular tee on tour, has color bands at various lengths so they probably use that to gauge how high/ low to tee the ball.

How can a tee thread go over 30 posts with no mention of the Martini tee?

My alcoholic friend calls it the rehab tee, because it's easier to set the ball on that large top with shaky hands.

I'm sure if a company we're willing to pay someone would peg it. But I think that's just what the manufacturers give out the standard wood or epoch tees with the logo on it.

Side note I did play sectionals and nationals (different guys) with a guy that played martini tees and swore by them

It might be they get their tees for nothing....most European Tour events I attend dish out free Titleist tees by the bucket load.

Why don't pros use iron headcovers?

Those soft forgings must take a beating.

I just see too many pros driving to the rough is all!

But maybe I'm the only one that thinks they should hit at least 80% to fairways......and they spend 1000s of hours practicing and tweaking equip constantly.....you ever wonder one of the reasons you can stripe them on the range is cause the ball is exactly at same height every single time.....and all you guys worried how you'll look sound like 13 year-old girls hahaha

ya not much else i can add that hasn't been said but when I think about how religious they are about their whole pre-shot routine (including teeing the ball) and then I think how many balls they hit in a day and over their career I have to imagine tee height is like breathing for them I'm sure

The ball is at the same heigh every time? Pretty sure the nice grass ranges they use for practice don't have the rubber tees in mats.

You can't honestly think they miss fairways because of their tees, right?
