Why don't pros use golf tees that have that lip that stops them going in the ground any further? I notice they use regular tees vs having the exact same height every time.  Got to figure that 1/8" matters specially how dialed in their equipment is...the golf store is full of them.  I like to use them and if I wanna tee it up a little higher I can see how much higher the lip is off the ground to be consistent, but they could have an array of ones for different situations...

We tee up golf balls so much itís not really any issue. Also there are tees that have a strip of different colored paint that Iíve seen others use. That would do the same thing as the tees with lips
Enjoy the chase.

They may not tee all shots up the same height on purpose. I know when I need to hit a lower drive under a breeze Iíd rather tee it a half inch lower and swing the same instead of manipulating my swing. Or when I hit a draw I tee it up higher and come up on the ball from the inside.

A tour pro's eye and feel for tee height is probably more accurate than the tolerances on those things. Even if they made the pre-designated length to suit the pro's needs, it would be a waste of effort and time, because most pros change tee height depending on the shot.

They have to go with the simple bog standard ones to avoid get caught up using fake tees and maybe getting DQed:

I'm not a pro, but I've used those and they work pretty good, that is, if the tee boxes are in good shape.  Where I play, the golf hotbed of Maine, Tee box conditions (mostly grass length) can vary widely

Cause using lipped tees makes you look like a chop. Like using the ball marker that's attached to the glove, just not a good look.

I would be willing to bet that anyone who plays a high level--tour pro, competitive amateur, etc--already tees the ball nearly the same height with a very tight tolerance. The problem this product solves simply doesn't exist at this level of golf.

And has already been mentioned, good players are often tweaking the tee hight a bit both ways to hit different types of shots. This product would get in the way of that.

Maybe they could also bring their own golf mat and just hit off that throughout. That also saves on course maintenance.

Because they're too smart to tee it up the same height every time. There's a big difference in a driver if the wind is 20 mph behind you than 20mph in your face.

I agree. I am not a pro by any stretch, but tee heights will vary depending on course conditions.
