Bayside, Lighthouse Sound, Baywood Greens would be on my list. 4th is a toss up between the rest of the options down there. If you are looking for nightlife i would stay somewhere within walking distance to Seacrets and Mackeys.

Rum Pointe and the Glen Riddle courses are nice as well. It's not quite in the same tier but I have a soft spot for Ocean City Newport Bay.

We always stay at the Hilton on the boardwalk. Very nice and a good location.

Agreed with rwill522 above. Also add in Bear Trap and Bayside up in DE. Lighthouse is nice, a bit over rated. By far favorite is Rum Pointe.

Been there many times but not for last 5-6 years.
Eagle’s landing certainly one of my favourite course all over. Rum pointe very good and if you never played a Gary player course, river run is a fun course

Going in April and we are doing Lighthouse, Bayside, Bear Trap, Rum Pointe and Bay Club West. The first 4 are arguably 4 of the top 5 in the area, along with Baywood Greens (Bay Club came with the package via Freeman golf). Driving in from the north, which I assume you're doing from CT, don't overlook Baywood for a quality round coming into/leaving town.

Personally, I am not a fan of Eagle's Landing. Too targety for my taste. Man O'War and War Admiral are decent, but I think a little overrated, especially War Admiral.

Where to stay? If nightlife matters, near Seacrets is the best play as suggested above. Could also do Dewey Beach, DE where there is a lot of walkable nightlife in a compact area. Otherwise, I'd stay down near the boardwalk at the south end or near route 50 or 90 to get on/off the mainland as easy as possible.

Can't go wrong with any of the combinations mentioned above. I've been down to OC 3 years in a row now on buddies trip and we've played Rum Pointe and Bear Trap Dunes each year, and then alternated between Baywood Greens, Man O' War and War Admiral, Newport CC and Bayside. You really can't go wrong with any of those courses, but as someone above mentioned, Newport is not quite up to the same quality as the other courses (although the price does not reflect that).  Usually we hit Bear Trap either on the way down to OC (from NJ) or on the way back home, and then we play 2 or 3 days in Ocean City with at least one day being a 36-hole day.

We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express because its cheap and its close to a lot of restaurants/bars for things to do after the rounds. It is a little bit of a pain to get off the island from there, but the cost outweights the inconvenience.

May 28th is Memorial Day and I would advise booking room(s) ASAP.  It is a very busy time in Ocean City and rooms can be very hard to find.

I always liked staying at Coconut Malories which is affiliated with Fagers Island (actually has a bridge that you can walk to Fagers over an inlet). It’s very close to Secrets and right by the bridge that takes you to Lighthouse Sound and an easy route to Rum Pointe, Eagles or the Glen Riddle one.

Haven’t played down there in several years but we just bought a place in Bethany so will be getting reacquainted with golf down there soon.
