Received the KBS newsletter today, I am quite interested in this shaft. Hopefully they offer some heavier options.

... I am sure there is a market for these but I can't imagine better players (a KBS staple) playing graphite iron shafts this light. I started out playing Aldila NV Tour graphite iron shafts at 130gms. I went to the NV 105 Pro and then the VS Proto 100's and had excellent results with both. However dropping to the VS Proto 85's proved to be too light and I lost my tempo. I am currently playing Recoil 95's and 95gms seem to be the lowest I can play without ruining my tempo. Ymmv and I assume KBS has done their market research and know what they are doing but 50 and 70 gms is a real head scratcher imo.

Appers that the (initial) lighter weight offerings are geared to us older types who: A) Are migrating to graphite to lessen the chance for injury; or B) Just can`t swing the heavy lumber like we used to.

Matt Kuchar being an exception to this.

Ther`s some pretty smart people at KBS; I`m sure they did their due diligence to ascertain the best place to start with a line of graphite shafts, i.e. follow the money.

I am sure if Kuch wanted 95(like his Steelfibers were) they made him 95 gram shafts.  The mainstay graphite iron players on tour are(that I remember)...Kuch, Couples, and Snedeker and I think all played steelfibers, and all were playing 95 grams shafts.

Hi, I contacted KBS yesterday. There is a taper tip version (.355) coming out in 90, 100 and 110 gram options.

See this thread : http://www.golfwrx.c...2#entry16883302

Hello - I spoke with PING and they will special order the current line of the graphite shafts on the i200's.
Don't know about the Taper tip as I am looking at a lighter weight shaft.

Tried these today in my pxg fitting for gen 2 irons. They are really nice.  Ultimately they  didn’t fit me great as the kick point didn’t fit me well.  I ended up getting the project x LZ 90 6.0 graphite shaft.   It gave me the same numbers as a true temper 105 steel but felt much smoother.    I can’t believe I went with a graphite iron shaft (mid 40s in good shape with 84-86 mph 7 iron Swing speed) but these new graphite shafts are for real.
