SELLER NAME : BMOZ14

Just curious I am pretty easy going, but purchased a set of irons for a friend here on the BST on December 07 17.

Hoping seller would of got the clubs in the mail next couple days, BUT

December 11 get note that he had a death in family to give him a few days

I obviously send my condolences and let him know that's ok

December 18 I message asking for updates

December 20 Seller states he is hoping to be home in 2 days and ship clubs

December 26 I ask for updates again

December 30 Seller lives in PA, updates me that he has been snowed in for the past week and wifi has been out. So he is trying to get out to get the clubs out in a couple days.
(mind you I feel like now I am being an annoyance. he replied with a "YEAH!")

as of today, I am pretty sure he hasn't got the clubs out... and with the east coast getting hit with the huge storm.

do I just keep being nice and let it go a bit longer... maybe he's just having a string of bad luck?

the only thing that kind of got me thinking.... one of his BST feedbacks was negative saying that he sold a club to a fellow wrxer held on to it for a month and decided not to sell it to him: BUYER BEWARE

On top of that he only responds, when I message him and he hasn't been apologetic at all

just wondering what everyone else thinks

You have given him enough time to get the clubs shipped.  File a pay pal dispute and that may get him moving.

It has been almost a month, I would out the seller and send him a message with a link to this thread. I hate to ask, but did you send the money PayPal Family and Friends, ie "Gifted"?

IMO you should let him know your are going to start a dispute with PP before opening one. I realize it may just delay the dispute by a day, but with that you clearly will have given him every chance. Who knows, maybe there was a death in his family and it was his wife and she left him with 12 kids. More likely his pet goldfish died, but be the one who takes the high road as you have been doing thus far.

It would annoy me that he isn't being apologetic.

No matter what happened in my life, if I knew I wasn't going to be able to ship the item out FOR SURE within a reasonable time frame (1-2 weeks at the latest), I would offer the person a refund and apologize.

I usually agree with you and love your replies but got to respectfully disagree with this one.

OP has been more than patient and the guy hasn't even offered an apology for the delays. Time to take total control and file. If the seller manages to come through the claim can be cancelled. The OP, in my humble, needs to simply take control now and not give any more benefits of any doubts. The death in the family excuse might actually wash if it had not been for one excuse and delay after another.

File a PP dispute.  I get that life happens, but you've waited long enough.  Whether his claims are legit or not, you need to remove yourself from this situation.

What is up with sellers doing this. A seller did this to me and brought it in here. He tried defending his delayed shipping. I told him why sell something if you knew you had issues shipping. I think he was banned after that

I would file the dispute, but give him the moral benefit of the doubt if he really did have a death in the family. That stuff really F's up life.

What?  Common courtesy would say that if you've posted a FS ad here, you should be able to ship in 2-3 days.  Shipping can take a week, fine.  So max 10 days.  How do you get to a month?

I think he was assuming that we take the other party at his word about a death in the family, and that he hasn't been able to return home yet to ship the goods.

That, or he was being sarcastic.

After 10 days, he should have apologized and let YOU decide. Immediate refund or a long delay in shipping.

Heís taken it upon himself to decide for you.

Take control back with a PP dispute.

And out the seller.

I get all that.  As a seller, you should refund the money if you can't hold up your end of the deal.  I don't think the buyer signed up to give this guy a month long interest free loan.  So from his standpoint, he should just remove himself from that situation and file a dispute.  Let the buyer try to sell again when he's capable to do so.

This.  I was delayed a late sending a club to someone by the promised date, promised Monday after a Friday night payment (because it was st my office 24 miles away) I didn't get it out Monday and sent a very apologetic pm.  He was like. No hurry it's cool.  But I still made sure I got it out first thing Tuesday.

A month of excuses is unacceptable.

Really? No wifi? It's 2018 and almost impossible to be off the grid unless you purposely try to in today's world. If you have someone's money and item they purchased, its not that hard to use data on your phone to let them know. Going a week at a time without responding is totally unacceptable.
Too much ho'ing..

Inexcusable. With all that going on, he should have let you know that it may continue to string on and offer up a refund.
Submit the claim to PP and get it going.

If you have to ask, yeah it's time to be a deek. Get your money back, out the slacker, and we'll all revel in the resulting bloodbath. This forum is the modern day coliseum.

For those about to die, we salute you....

Edit: Salute AND give negative feedback. Take that slackers!
