Shirt out, or this look?    I'm sticking with Fowler.

While I wouldn't condone sleeveless Greatful Dead tee shirts and cutoff jean shorts on the course, I do think golf snobs could lighten up a bit.

So no Bob Weir then?  That's a shame.  What if he still wore a collar?  ;)

He would be told by the starter that his belt must show. Tuck it in or go home!
Bet if rickie showed up at your club wearing this he would not be told to go home.

Oh, absolutely he would be told!
Our club is run by a bunch of uptight old farts. Problem is they donít look in the mirror before they come out.
I tolerate it because I love the course so much.

Let's give your club a shout out... What's it called?

I have no problem with it at all and think it looks great, BUT every private club I know of in my area would not let you on wearing that. Certainly not saying that is right, just saying it is a fact.

I like the look as well and almost all of the clubs in my area have actually recently adopted the policy that so long as you have a full button shirt like this you can play without it untucked. I'm only in shape if you consider oval a shape, so won't be wearing this any time soon.

I have recently been given a few of the UNTUCKit shirts and have been given compliments on them, though they are tailored correctly for that look but one needs to know the time and place for wearing something like that. Hawaii is certainly one of those times and agree with everything you are saying.

Doug Sanders HATED tucked in shirts....

He would wear a dickie often with a goofy sweater he designed specifically to hide the outline of the dickie (see him in the open playoff below against Jack)

When not wearing a dickie he would have his shirts tailored with elastic under a cardigan or sweater....

Though sometimes he wore a tucked in shirt it was only in very hot weather...

I've put cousin Eddie below for those of u don't know what a dickie is

Man those shots are priceless, thanks.

Definitely speak for yourself there! I've never played golf with an untucked shirt. For me, confidence directly correlates to how well I play. The better I feel about the way I look, the better I end up playing. If my shirt is untucked, I feel sloppy and lack confidence.

I thought it was a brilliant idea because I'm into marketing...........UNTIL I went to the Puma website and there is not a Hawaiian golf shirt anywhere.  What gives Puma?  I don't really understand the point unless you are trying to sell them.

All in on this

Yeah especially if it creates a sea change of not having to tuck shirts in while at haughty taughty clubs. Hate playing tucked and it always comes undone anyway.

I think a person can look nice in an untucked shirt. I'm almost always tucked, but I can tell you not one time in the history of my golf playing has my shirt come untucked. Are you wearing some kind of half shirt?

I'm 65, I wear a slim fit, but relatively conservative suit and tie, for work,in the cooler months.  I think tucked--in polos look hideous with shorts - may as well wear pleats with that, Skippy.

With pants, tucked in is okay and untucked can be okay too.

I'm not personally a fan of button fronts for golf, and I don't care for the old style look of baring the chest hair with lots of undone buttons (I'm looking at you, Charlie Hoffman - ha!).  But I'm definitely okay if someone else likes that style.

This thread provides more reminders why I prefer to play the great majority of my golf on my scrappy muni instead of some plush club.

Love the look for the event.  I follow whatever rules are I place for the facility I play at.

Untucked with cargo shorts - that's most of the season.

I would consider it a reprehensible breach of etiquette (is this really ROG etiquette and not fashion?) not to tuck my shirt in while wearing jeans, so always tucked when in denim!

I don't tuck in with denim, EVER

I'm 65, I wear a slim fit, but relatively conservative suit and tie, for work,in the cooler months.  I think tucked--in polos look hideous with shorts - may as well wear pleats with that, Skippy.

With pants, tucked in is okay and untucked can be okay too.

I'm not personally a fan of button fronts for golf, and I don't care for the old style look of baring the chest hair with lots of undone buttons (I'm looking at you, Charlie Hoffman - ha!).  But I'm definitely okay if someone else likes that style.

This thread provides more reminders why I prefer to play the great majority of my golf on my scrappy muni instead of some plush club.
ur 65 and still workin ? :fie:  I had ya pegged for 40 tops.  Damn avatar ...fake news
