I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about most golf 'fashion'. You wouldn't catch me dead in 99% of golf shoes.

So, what would be your choices for the best looking golf shoes?

What would tempt me out of my current Adizero:

If that is your current shoe, and you love it, I totally understand why you dislike 99% of golf shoes.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I hope this thread takes off because you will see all sorts of styles.

My pick for best looking golf shoes would be a pair of mid 1990's FJ Classics, something similar to this but croc instead of patent.

There are some great looking options from Callaway these days, including the LaGrange which is launching in March

Those Callaways could be worse.

Spotted these the other day, could probably get away with them:

You see, if you go all in for a 1930's tap dancer look, I'm sort of on board with it. It's shoes that have a 'nod' to that look, but don't go the whole hog that I hate. Most golf shoes look like whale skin clogs.

The AE Haskell, in both black and brown and in spikes and spikeless/shop shoes. The black pair were my final round tourmey and big swat shoes, lol.

Also, the Redan spiked shoe(bottom right pic).

Great looking and comfortable as hell👌🏼

Cheers🍻

I should have just called this thread 'why do all golf shoes look like spats, and not something you would actual play a sport in, and how much longer do we have to live with this ridiculous legacy'.

Style is very subjective which makes topics like this a challenge. To be honest, if a golf course is dry, any sneaker will do the job.

I had some FootJoy Classic Premier Drys that had a very similar sole. They were heavy, well built, and very supportive. I walk almost all the time, and my feet were never sore or tired after wearing those. I still wear FootJoys, but they are not the same as the old Classics. It's hard to beat good, quality shoes.

I really think that anything close to the dna is o  target for a golf shoe. However, the more i look at the new original from links footwear, the more i like them.

Why not just head to MyJoys and see what you can come up with?

They are sure to be better than those Adizero's...to me, one of the worst looking golf shoes ever and not a surprise that after the initial marketing hype, they soon disappeared from the scene.

I donít know if thatís true, but I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that these do far more damage than any other golf shoe I have ever seen on a green.

As far as beautiful shoes go, Footjoy Icon, Ecco BIOM hybrid, and the G/fore Gallivanter have my votes.

those shoes are horrible on greens, leaving deep imprints of the shoe.  I suspect damage to the actual grass.  Courses were banning them as a result.

As for best looking I love the Puma Titantour Ignite!

I wouldn't wear those particular Jordans, they're a bit too much for me, but I think the 'other sports shoe' made into a 'golf shoe' might be the way forward. The Adidas Samba golf shoes where sweet, mainly because they looked exactly like a pair of Adidas Samba.

As far as I can tell, the Adizeros have the exact same cleats / spikes as any other spiked Adidas golf shoe, and has more of them than most, for a better spread of weight... so I don't know why they would tear up greens. Not a problem I've had myself. But then again, I am ripped like a Greek god, so I don't leave much of a footprint.

Interesting thread--thanks for starting it. Everyone has their own idea of what looks good, and it is completely subjective so none is wrong or right (well a couple of you guys may be wrong lol!)

I tend to keep my golf shoes for too long, and have found that the inner support structure wears out before the outers do. I am looking for a new pair or two to get into the rotation.

Interesting comments, at least the strongly held opinions. We all have different tastes, and view on traditions, thereís room for lots of styles. There is no doubt shoe makers will provide whatever players vote for by actually buying. The rest is all talk. Look at what younger players are wearing, thatís where the market will go. Traditional styles will die off when/if buyers start declining significantly. Buyers can be fickle, and turn on a dime, marketing is no cake walk.

I find my tastes evolving away from the old traditional styles, and Iím an oldie. The new Adidas Tour Boost 2.0 and the Skecher GoGolf Pro 3.0 are at the top of my list, but that makes zero difference for anyone else.
