I will miss the show.  Breed had a unique way of getting information across in understandable terms.

Breed was interviewed on the GolfWRX podcast. He says the main reason he left golf channel was so he could stay home with his family more.

That's what every public person says when they are fired, decide not to run for re-election, etc.

I don’t think Breed was fired. All the reports are that Golf Channel was mad that he left.

Sounds to me like they let him go.  If he were planning to leave, he would have made an announcement back in December.

I think that his shtick was getting old.

I won't watch Foley.  I do enjoy Martin Hall.

In the Breed interview (obviously his side of the story) he mentions multiple times that if he wanted to stay on with with Golf Channel he was welcome to stay.

He did mention something back in December but it was like one sentence in passing and I hit rewind and thought to myself that it sure sounded like he was leaving. It wasn't an announcement but reading between the lines it seemed to me that he was finished.

I don't doubt for an instant his reasoning. He has plenty of students and a great resume so why keep traveling back and forth to give the same tips over and over?

I doubt I'll be able to sit through a 1/2 hour of Foley rambling on about his Zen approach to golf.  Breed was entertaining, a little hyper but overall I enjoyed his show on GC.

Yeah, best of luck to Breed, he was good at stretching it out as long as he did with a program for the general population of golfers.

I enjoyed some of his segments, however, every time after I watched his show, I felt like over dosed with caffeine.  Did not enjoy listen to his high pitched voice for more than a few minutes at a time.
I agreed that the instruction show should be on a rotating base with multiple talents.  I prefer to see different face and listen to different theory , say, every month ?
G.C. should have the top 100 teaching PGA on the show as guest host every week, love to see that.

Bring back Kessler.

I was Kesslers biggest fan. He WAS the golf channel.

Good for him with option to spend more time with family. In Podcast he says he'll be 56 next birthday and has 2 sons, 5 & 6!!! He is a "late" father. Dang, he'll be in late 60's when they graduate HS. Wife must be substantially younger.

I loved his show and way he would compare a certain feel you are trying to achieve in what drill/swing idea you are trying to accomplish in a very easy to follow model (his style teaching/drills for most part work for me)...that is if you can keep up with him. When my wife would hear the show, she would ask if I’m still watching Michael Breeds “Meth Fix” as he never seems to run outta steam.
Michael’s show will definitely be missed as I have a hard time sitting through some of the other instructional shows GC has to offer.

Foley seems more like the politicians and Breed was more about the ppl.  His energy and different ways of teaching was a BIG positive, IMO.

Yeah I've looked through my TV guide and nothing coming up. He's going to be on "Playing Lessons" during the primetime hours and will also be on Golf Central and "Live from...". I guess they are at least a few weeks away. Won't be a studio-based show.

Golf Channel loved Michael Breed. Makes no sense that they would fire him, and therefore I don’t believe it for a second.

Anyone that has a wife and kids, and actually loves them, knows how much it sucks being on the road all the time. He was probably tired of missing major events in his family’s lives.

If my kids were 5 & 6 and I had the option of not flying to Florida from New York to work each week I’d take a shot at something new too. I assume he was tied to NY and would not move to FL for some reason.  And dang, at 56 years old it’s time to better manage your time!

Don't disagree with you one bit. He has his golf school in NY at a great new course, but isn't that seasonal? Maybe they have a great indoor practice facility.

i guess since NBC bought revolution golf and NBC owns the golf channel, they can save some money by using in revolution golf instructors and help build that brand through the golf channel....They have the talent McLean, Chuck, Foley, Hall, Rice, McCormick etc.....  Maybe they offered Breed the chance to join the Revolution Team and he declined? Maybe Breed was tired of all of the travel.  Either way I think Breed will be just fine!

Breed's Sirius XM show has been really interesting this week. He seems to be a lot more willing to speak his mind now that he's off the Golf Channel. While Hank Haney thinks that Breed was pushed out because the Golf Channel is penny pinching, Breed has never said that was the reason. And Breed has been critical of the Golf Channel this week. He thinks traditional cable is a dying platform and it can be tough to determine how many people are watching your show. Breed had a live Facebook event recently and he knew there was over 200,000 people watching. Hank said that the Golf Channel paid $20 million for Revolution Golf and now didn't want to pay Breed too.
