Firstly, if this is in the wrong section, apologies.  I'm a newbie!

I have just bought 3 brand new Scratch wedges from eBay.  Comparing pictures to stock Google images I have no reason to doubt that these are legitimate but I was interested to know if counterfeits are a big issue when it comes to brands like Miura, Scratch (especially as they went out of business years ago), Epon etc?

I recently bought a mint set of Scratch AR1 V2 irons so to find a set of brand new wedges here in Europe was pretty special in my opinion!

Awaiting their delivery.  Love having clubs that aren't common over here, I get tired with the same companies releasing the same models with very little difference each year.

Always sceptical when buying things on eBay but I'm hoping this gamble pays off.  The price of Miuras etc are ridiculous but I managed to get all 3 for £140.

Thanks for any input.

As far as I know there were never any counterfeit Scratch clubs made.  Definitely getting very hard to find them new! Congrats on the pickup!

Cheers Fred for the reply.  I have just come back after a 10 year break from golf.  Been great learning all about the JDM and boutique companies as when I was playing regularly I was always only aware of the major brands.  It's definitely nice to own pieces of equipment that go against the grain.  Crazy crazy prices though in the JDM, seems pretty hard to justify paying the price for brand new clubs!  But if you've got the money you may as well spend it!

Still finding my way in here Tzoid!

If you think the JDM prices are bad now you shoulda been around in the 2012 timeframe when the exchange rate was 80 yen to the dollar.
