Knowing JPX 850 were released in 2014 and JPX 900 were released in 2016...does anybody have any info on a 2018 release for the next JPX irons?

I'm currently playing 850 Forged and looking for a new iron set.

Thanks for the replies.  I love the feel of 900F, but really prefer the chrome look of my 850F.  This dilemma has me on the fence about getting a MP-18 SC set, but don't want buyers remorse in the summer of '18!  (I know...MMC...but something about them just doesn't feel right)

Do we typically get to see a preview at the PGA show in January?

I gamed the 850F and they were really good. Skipped the 900 to go back to the MP line. If you like chrome, and want something as easy to hit as the 850, look at the MP5. It is in reality a CB club with the cavity beautifully smoothed over in the design.

Other than cosmetics, curious to see how they can even make the current JPX line better? To me one of the best complete lines from Mizuno they have ever launched. Something for Tour players, Low handies, to the big number maker. Really world class job!

I think it would be nice for a manufacturer to come out and say that their current clubs are top shelf and that they are going to wait until there is a marked improvement for another release. The JPX HM are great for me as they are game improvement irons that aren’t too low spin.

I still really like my 850 Forged. I saved up enough for the 900 but there wasn’t enough added benefit to justify the cost. I’ll definitely be checking the next iteration though.

Mizuno irons are like the women of the miss world pageant different colors and shapes but all fairly sexy .  They have to go tungsten and boron for this new Jpx line . I didn’t live how the first boron infused clubs felt but I think they figured it out with Jpx900 forged .

Maybe since the mp 18 didn't come in lefty, they'll release a 950 tour in lefty!  And I'll immediately be in trouble since I just got the 18sc's!!

**BIAS ALERT**
Seems to me that with so many pros playing and winning with the 900 Tour, Mizuno could let it ride for another season. I could be mistaken, but I think more players have them on the bag than the MP18 right now.

Most pros are playing the 900 tours.  Thing is, most amateurs aren’t most pros.  The 900 Forged are so good and so long that it should be considered first choice

900 Tours are very blade like...not much forgiveness. And the pitching wedge is hideous. 900 Forged are much better looking and forgiving.

I'd like to see a few more shaft choices. The approach of having one price that covers all shafts and grips is great, it does mean though that the options are matched to the price point, so there isn't the choice offered by other brands.

I have always been a Mizuno fan ( see screen name ) but I can't stand the cavity badge they use in the JPX Line.  I know other Mfg do it as well for sound
and feel.

The JPX Tour doesn't use this method so I would consider trying them but the last two years with JDM Endo forged irons will make it difficult.

I am very much looking forward to seeing what they release now, been so tempted to just buy a 4 Forged, 5-9 Tour over the last few weeks.

I love the forged iron and really wanting a better looking 8 and 9 than my MP5 I currently use.

Curious how the PW from the 900T is hideous but the 900F looks better? The 900T is smaller all around

900 Tours are very blade like...not much forgiveness. And the pitching wedge is hideous. 900 Forged are much better looking and forgiving.

Curious how the PW from the 900T is hideous but the 900F looks better? The 900T is smaller all around

I don't like the wedge in either 900 set. I also don't like the AP2 wedges, in all cases they just seem a little too low profile to my eye.

I was just about to buy some hot metals - I'm now in limbo as I sold my other clubs but don't really want to buy the HM's now.

I'd like to see a few more shaft choices. The approach of having one price that covers all shafts and grips is great, it does mean though that the options are matched to the price point, so there isn't the choice offered by other brands.

Upcharge shafts would be a nice addition however most of Mizuno’s offerings cover most golfers’ needs. If there’s a shaft you want that carries an upcharge I’d be reaching out to a quality fitter to have them built.
