Only care about a driving iron release

Hopes: low offset, slightly smaller bulk/sole than u65/45, drop the super light stock shaft, offer hybrid shafts as custom upgrades, offer a 16* nuke model

Probably none of it will happen tho. These 70g stock shafts in driving irons are ridiculous to me
LOL, I guess so...you play Super Peening Blues in X.  Even in your DF 3 iron.  You are in the super minority my friend.  Personally, I like the stock Miyazaki shaft, I don't really see any problems with it.  I do agree though, that they should at least offer a couple of gorilla swinging shafts for their utility irons.

Haha listen I hear you man. But 70g in a driving iron is a minority play too? We gotta be closer to 100g if anything.

I've read far more posts of guys hating the stock 70 shaft and having to swap it immediately, then those who loved it. Both on wrx and hackers.

I've hit the U65 with the Miyazaki and thought the 70 gram was too light.  However, I do tend to like heavier shafts.  I would think that the weight that would fit most would be in between 80-100 grams, since it is semi-hybrid like.

Srixon 745 4-PW, Dynamic Gold 115s

The 70 Miya gets the ball up and that's helpful.
Interested to see if a new forged series will appear. I would bag a set without provocation. Srixzon irons are super good and if they are just a smudge more durable that would be exceptionally awesome

I'm with BearQ. I can understand hybrids having 70g shafts but driving irons are for better players. Most better players want a heavier shaft.

Srixon should follow the lead of other OEMS.

Had mine for 1 year, no signs of durability issues. First I’ve heard of this being a concern.

I feel like the chatter pretty easy. Easier than the MP54 and 825 forged I had before. I don't mind it though. I definitely don't want them to change the feel.

If Srixon is listening and watching sales then they would be smart to change the irons back to more the 45 and less the 65. It's a big year for them as they  can either disappear or save the momentum they generated from the 45 iron series.

Totally agree on the shaft, first thing I had to do was scrap the stock shaft.  The U45/65 sole design makes these stupid easy to launch VERY high adding to that light / high launch stock shafts and it's nearly unplayable.

EDIT: oh and mine didn't even have the grahpite, it had the NIPPON NS PRO 980GH which is around 100grams.  Still too light and high launching, switching it out for an S400 has helped a ton.

Funny.  I was saying I wished I had the 45s and still do....but, I did a “bag validation” fitting at CC this weekend and the 765s beat all other heads (same shaft in all)...except the new AP2....

Maybe there aren’t so bad, but I am?!  Ha
