I am wondering how much, say the top 5-10 players get in sponsorships?

What does Mickelson get from KPMG and Barclays? (for example)

I know it is alot...haha

Can someone make an educated guess about Mickelson and his KPMG and Barclays deal? I mean every time they show him, that is all you see...

It totally depends on the player on the company. Tiger gets about $20 mil a year from Nike, AMEX, Buick and now Gatorade. How much Phil gets from KPMG is anyone's guess, unless it has been publicized somewhere. I would guess in the $10-15 mil range.

A good portion of KPMG's marketing budget is for Mr. Mickelson.........rumoured to be around $10 to $15 million a year.

Callaway pays him around $5 million a year. KPMG pays him around $8 million a year, the Barclays deal is around $4 million from what I have read. Rolex pays him around $3 million and his Exxon deal is somewhat complicated but pays him a ton. Including his tour winnings, he was the 2nd highest paid athlete in 2007 just behind Woods. Lefty made near $45 million last year. Woods was just under $100 million I believe.

According to (UK) Golf Magazine april'08:

Back of the collar: up to £300,000

Right sleeve: £5,000-£500,000
this sleeve gets less tv time
for Phil Michelson this is a million dollar sleeve

Back: nothing, tour rules prohibit ads here

Cap: £35,000 upwards
sides of a cap sell for less than half as much as the front
and the back of the cap for as little as a tenth

Left sleeve: £10,000 (lower league player) to £500,000 (major winner)

Chest pocket: £10,000 and up
The best spot other than the cap.
Guys like Donald and Daly can command £125,000 or more for a logo here

Bag: £25,000 - £2.5 million
Often part of bigger equipment deal.
A Major winner can see the value of his bag sponsorship triple.

Gotta believe Ernie Els gets a boatload from that unattractive SAP on his hat. Of course it's sure attractive to Ernie.
