I've been playing a 9* Ping G Series driver for a while now. Shafted with an Aldila Rogue Black in r flex. Its been a very good combo but as we all know always on the look out for the next great thing.
That said if you've been playing a G Series and switched to the New G400 what were your reasons and results?
Any thoughts of going back to the G? Any huge performance gains?

Interested in thoughts here as well.  Playing G LS Tech 9degree and have only hit G400 LS Tech 10 in simulator, with supíd up shafts where I was picking up 15 in carry.  About to pull the trigger.

I went from the G LS 10.5* to a G400 10*. Same shaft, same adapter setting the G LS is flat out better for me. It was hard to accept because the feel and sound of the G400 are as good as any driver Iíve ever hit but the results were insconsistent. I was missing shots miles left with the G400 which was never a problem for me with the G LS. After about 6 rounds with the G400 I went back to the G LS and have been happy with my decision to return to it.

I switched from G LST 9deg, tour shaft to the G400 LST with tour shaft and have been very happy. Not only am I averaging an additional 15-20 yards more per drive, but I have found more fairways as well. My driving confidence has greatly improved, and as a result , my scores have been much better since making the switch. the other big improvement is the sound and feel-that is better with the G400 as well.
I also switch my G irons to the G400 irons, and have been very happy with that switch as well. They sound better and look better as well. The G's were good, the G 400 is just better overall. Play your best they say, and with the G400 series, I have!
Highly recommend.

I went from a G to the G400 and was very disappointed. Sound and feel were fine, maybe a bit more forgiving but zilch on any kind of distance gain. I know I was one of 4 people that made the switch at my club and all 4 of us were disappointed. Three went back to the G and I moved on to the Epic.

I tried the Epic too, it was good as well. In the end the right shaft/head combo does make a huge difference. G400 LST was as long for me as the Epic, but more forgiving. I enjoy being in the fairway!

I had a G LS tec 9 deg (set to 8) previously with the bimatrix proto 80X shaft and it was a monster. The only downside for me, the sound was horrific. I cracked the face on it and went for a g400 fitting. The g400 LS tec was amazingly long and the flight v piercing. Ball speed v good too, i thought the spin was a little low.

Now i've got hold of a ping g400 9 deg, hzrdus yellow 6.5 76g and it feels and plays brilliantly, probably the most accurate i've ever been off the tee.

A lil bit of both here sorry to make your choice a lil harder haha...do it. Gained 10 yards on the same shaft/loft and definitely more speed

Getting my G400 out to the course for the first time tomorrow but I will agree that through a store demo session and a range trip today, this driver seems so easy to hit where you want.  I have not been this excited to play a club in a long time.  I never played the G but I did game the G30 a couple times, so far I like everything about the G400 better.  If this one doesn't work out, I don't know what I'll do..LOL

Just slapped my G shaft into the G400.  Will never look back. Hit more fairways get more distance and the thing sounds so much better. Way happier...but I was happy with the G, just hit this one that much better. G LST 10.5 turned to 9.5.  G400 10 turned to 9.  Fuji XLR8

Ping has been the only driver Iíll buy the new one without Trackman time over the last few generations, just like them enough going back to G25 to know Iíll want to try on course.  Course and launch monitor verified itís not any longer than my G LS with same specs.  It sounds, feels, and looks much better than the G so Iíve kept it in the bag.  I may be hitting it straighter but that could be shaft driven.

Currently playing the G30 LS.  One of the best drivers I've had in the bag.  Looking at comments and such.... getting excited about a possible "upgrade."

400 series is better, the feeling and sound is the best in the business now!  I have posted on some ups and down with it, but had another session with it last night and the more I tweak it the more I love it.  Great driver going to be one of the front runners of the new drivers in 18.
