Can anyone tell me if there'd be a downside/noticeable effect to putting shafts that have extensions in them, in clubs one stronger than they were intended for? For example, putting a 5 iron shaft with an extension into a 4 iron.

Thanks

What you describe is hard stepping and has been done countless times before.

Thank you gentlemen. I thought that's what I was describing, but wanted to confirm. Much appreciated
