First i want to thank Cleveland for the putter.  I was randomly chosen for asking a question in the Cleveland Hi Launch driver thread and my prize was a new Huntington Beach putter.  I used to roll the Cleveland T-Frame and loved it but like all putters they eventually run cold.  Anyway I got my new Huntington Beach putter a few weeks ago and I'll do my best to give a quick review even though it wasn't asked of me.

Looks - Looks great, love the color scheme and the headcover.  Actually one of the nicer stock headcovers i've seen on a putter in some time.

Feel - Really soft, almost too soft for me.  The aggressive milling is a bit much leaving the putter with very little auditory feedback which negatively effected my speed on the greens.

Roll - Good roll on the ball especially with the super aggressive milling.

Speed - Struggle here.  Putter has almost no sound so it's hard to gauge distance.  Also the ball comes off dead due to the milling.

Price - Obviously i didn't pay for the putter but pound for pound they make some great putters at very affordable price points.  Clevleand Classic putters are in many bags

Overall : It's a great looking putter but i wish the milling wasn't so aggressive.  I get why they did it I just think it takes away from the performance of the putter in terms of speed and feel.  I'm very appreciative of the putter and want to try it some more before i make my final verdict but overall I hope Cleveland appreciates my constructive criticism.  Cleveland/Srixon is bringing out some great golf equipment especially my 745 irons and the Zstar XV :superman:.  I look forward to seeing what 2018 brings.

I think they would appreciate the honest feedback- haven't rolled one yet so can't comment on the feel but certainly one of the best values in a milled putter.

I'm sure they do but you never know. But i agree on value.  They make very nice affordable putters that are hard to beat at that price point.

I had on of those earlier this year and totally agree with the feel almost being too soft and having trouble with distance control. I was using Z Stars too and they are really soft.
I had a previous Cleveland model that i really liked, it was milled, but not deep aggressive milling like these.

I have a Cleveland HB 1 as a backup to my HBi (insert) 1 putter. I really like the aesthetic of the HB but I'm in agreement that the milling pattern is a bit agressice for my taste. I thought I was the only one. The putter is a great value but I struggle to find a balanced feel/speed median. Maybe I need to give it more time on the practice green...

The SS they use is not the softest metal which I get because they are trying to keep cost down but their efforts to soften the feel by doing super deep milling negatively effects the performance of the putter.  I really like the look of the putter maybe i'll try to have the face shaved down some.
