Anybody know where to get the best deals for stay and play packages at Pinehurst? I have called directly and gotten a military rate quote. After Google searches I haven't found anything better. Thanks!

My buddies and I looked last spring and failed to find anything great. We even had a "hookup" which wasn't much better than the rack rate.

We ended up playing Tobacco Road which was beautiful (but gimmicky to us), and Mill Creek in Mebane which was our favorite course of the 4 we played on the trip.

Thanks for the info. From what it sounds like there are not any huge price breaks for down there.

How was mid-south? Im going on a trip in 2 weeks and they were suggesting to play there. Last time I was there the greens were just horrendous.

Mid South was fine.  No green issues.  It does have a couple of goofy holes, e.g. #9.

Get emails from the Carolinas Golf Association with Pinehurst deals from time to time, guessing all you need is a residency handicap as didn't knowingly sign up anywhere.  Back in August they had a stay and play deal, $700 for 2 people, includes room/breakfast/round on #2 with cart.  Went up with a foursome, great deal but watch weather as there are no rainchecks and we got dumped on for about 4 holes on the back.

Also looks like this tournament next week is something they do annually now ($275 for round on #2), booked for this year though....https://www.carolina...-pinehurst-no-2
