So, I hopefully am not starting something that’s already been down this path before but what do you do for a living?

I am in banking (Commercial and Agriculture Lender) I started in banking as a full time teller at the age of 18 while attending college and have been in it ever since. Held positions as a teller, branch manager, loan operations, commercial credit analyst and now in the lending side. At 31, do I enjoy it sure. Have I thought about another career absolutely just not 100% sure I know what I’d like to do. So I stick with banking!

Hopefully this gets some good convos going.

Thanks!

Local sales director for a national media company and love it to the nth degree.

Was an assistant pro out of college for 3 years. Went back to the golf business on the sales side 5 years later and left again after 5 years in that role. Have consulted for two of the big golf management companies a bit and have been offered permanent roles at one of them but the golf business is too fickle to make a reliable living. Long term opportunities are just too unstable in that business unless you are one of the few “made” men.

Im the director of marketing for an electronics company. I manage a pricing team but my role primarily now is technical marketing. Essentially responsible for making sure our sales teams are trained on the right stuff and are aware of the newest stuff.

Just applied at the place 15yrs ago and that was that. Not the field I expected, but really got into it, read a lot of papers and books to learn it

Head of school at a private K-12 school. First job out of college as an economics major was in the state legisture as an aid. Planned to go to law school after doing that for a year but changed my mind and went to grad school in education.  Never looked back.

RETIRED!!!   I spend over 40 years as a golf course superintendent and Director of a public golf course.  Now my job is to mark the hazards and GUR for tournaments!!

I started a little photography business just before I retired and shoot a number of golf events every year.  I display my landscape and golf related images in 6-8 art shows a year and do 5-6 portrait sessions a month.  Between that and playing golf 3-4 days a week I manage to stay out of my wife's hair and enjoy myself!

Assistant Pro at a public course in Georgia. Hopefully about to get into the PGA program soon and hope to become a Pro. Love both sides of the business so I hope to be a full time instructor and stay in the marketing and golf course operations side of it. But teaching is definitely my passion. Been doing it for almost 2 years now (I'm 22).

I left school to join the army. I left the army to become a firefighter. I retired from firefighting to become a part time baby sitter to my grand children, a part time builder for my wife and a part time golfer.

NB. I actually got to play more golf when I was firefighting; excellent shift system.

Quality engineer/Inspector/consultant in subsea oil and gas industry. After 17 years, I’m considering getting out of the upstream side because it is entirely too volatile at the moment. Never know from day to day when it will be your last day at work.

Retired.   Was a geek at Bell Labs and helped usher in the modern word of digital everything.

Now I make coffee part time (when I'm not golfing, in our place in Chucktown, or visiting our great Western states) for locals and tourists here in the smokies.
