Does anyone wear these or something similar?  I know there have been threads on the topic but thought I would start one with the weather turning.

I just got a pair of the Nike Lunar Vaporstorms delivered last week from Dick’s when they had the 40% off 1hr sale. They are supposed to be a bit warmer than regular shoes and 100% waterproof. I will be giving them a good workout tomorrow to see how they hold up.  Local course has an end of the year big cup tournament over the weekend and the temperature won’t be getting out of the 30 here in Pittsburgh. We will see how it goes.

I've never really been able to see the benefit of them to justify paying for them.

If it's muddy out where I am playing, I'm putting on some old shoes and waterproof trousers.

On a very recent trip to Ireland (still jet lagged), I played an early morning round on the rather soggy Letterkenny parklands course. As I made the turn and played up the tenth fairway past the practice area, I saw a couple of lads practicing in their wellies. I made a mental note, had a giggle and just kept moving in my waterproof ASICS Gel spikes, with the breeze at my back, of course! Rapidly approaching 600 holes played in the Republic. Should pass that milestone by this time next year, hopefully on Enniscrone where I hope to be holding a one year overseas membership.

Rubbers shouldn't have zippers for all sorts of reasons.

Wrxer goes to pro shop to buy some rubbers, pro says, "that will be 23.00 including tax."  Wrxer exclaims, "Tacks? I thought you pulled them on!"
