Titleist

The only other option for me is Ping

There is always the nagging thought with the other brands that they will break.

Titleist 915F - 5 wood - Diamana Whiteboard D+ 80X

I'd go with Callaway. Woods, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges, Putters (if you count Odyssey since it's their brand) are all top notch.

Great topic!  Not a lot of thought has to be put into this for me:
#1 PING - I could easily switch out my EPIC for a G400 Driver and my Vokeys for Glides.  Loyal to them since I was 12 years old
#2 Titleist - Great wedges, putters and irons.  Never loved the woods, but could easily make do
#3 Srixon (Mizuno) - Would say Mizuno here, but I have never seen a Mizen putter.  Really like Srixon/Cleveland irons.

Hybrid - 19, Ping G
4i-PW - Ping i200

Ping...

Can't be Callaway cuz I don't like the Epic.  Maybe the XR would work.

Can't be TM...just can't

Cobra- Some nice individual clubs but just not deep enough

Cleveland- Getting warmer if you include Srixon in there

Though I only carry a few Pings right now, I feel like I could play them all very easily.  They make a great option in every category that would work just fine.  Their irons (for me) are the only weak link feel-wise because I've been spoiled by playing some of the best forged offerings on earth.  That said, I could suffer with the iBlade quite easily.  Their drivers, fw's, and hybrids are amazing and the putters are perfect.

I wouldn't, and I assume you're excluding putters. If I had to, today I could easily put together a set made up exclusively of Mizuno or Srixon, maybe Titleist.

And probably like everyone, there are many (big name) brands that I'd never buy any club/model they're currently making.

Cally and TM have the widest range of clubs right through the bag. There is a much better chance of finding something you like. If you went Titleist and didn't like the D2 or D3, you're sh!t outta luck.

I echo others whose choices based on what putters must be there.

It'll be Callaway for me but can probably do PINGs.

Even though I don't currently play any of their clubs, I'd probably go Callaway. I like their irons slightly better than Titleist or I would have gone with them. The rest of the bag is pretty much even between the two in my mind.

I guess we could rank and nit-pick?

1) Titleist - This is the easy one for me because I've done it in the past. I have a huge preference for their drivers, love the fairways, driving irons (T-MB) is as good as anything, iron line up is right there with major OEM's (although I much prefer Mizuno's). The wedges speak for themselves and with Scotty Cameron in the putter spot, how can you go wrong? That said, I'd need access to the Cameron vault as none of this years offerings blow my hair back. I'd want a vintage Tour Rat or something to that effect. You also get the #1 ball on tour, which is nice. The downside: Crazy up charge for after markup shafts.

2) Callaway - Played the Great Big Bertha as the last big stick before I went Titleist. The Epic line is great and I like the fairways. Driving irons are TOL (top of the line) and they have a wide variety of irons that should fit anybody. Their wedges are love/hate (but there's a lot of love for them out there) and the putter lineup in Odyssey/Toulon may be the best right now. I really hate the graphics on the Cally balls though so I've never even played a full round with the Chrome Soft

3) Mizuno - The reason they're here is because their irons are better than TaylorMade woods (IMO). That's not to say that TMag irons are horrible or that Mizzy woods aren't any good but I just don't see a day anytime soon that I'm not playing Mizuno irons so they move above TM on my list. The JPX woods are actually really quality, the Fli-Hi's are great driving irons, the irons are my fav over anything, the wedges never get the love they deserve because they're awesome and the biggest downside is the putter.

4) Ping - Ahead of TMag because of putters. Ping is just solid through the bag. The feel would take some getting used to but the clubs are just so good. I think it goes without saying that their putters are the big draw but you're not giving up anything right through the bag.

5) TaylorMade - It's weird, I don't like the drivers but I love the fairways. The driving iron category is TOL but I'm not a fan of the new iron line up at all. The wedges have improved but still not my favourite and I just flat out have never found a Taylor putter that I liked. Hidden bonus: The TP5 is a great ball

6) PXG - I hate their woods. I just can't believe how awful that driver is. Driving irons/irons are as good as anything I've hit save for Mizuno's and Muira's, the wedges are kind of like Cally - you either love them or hate them. I'm not a fan but they're not the worst ones out there for me. The putters are just a no. Also, (personal opinion here people, simmer down) the pricing is just stupid.

That's it. I haven't hit clubs right through the bag from anybody else so I can't comment. Special mention to Srixon and Bridgestone irons. They're awesome but I haven't really hit anything else from either OEM.

huh, considering I'm playing Wilson Staff irons and putter at the moment, and I'm not incredibly choosy with drivers, maybe Wilson Staff. Otherwise, Mizuno.

Callaway.  I never gamed their irons but they are always in the running when I’m testing. The new MBs are pretty sweet.  Best hybrids and fairway woods. The Epic is a great driver.  The wedges are good and Odyssey has some great putters. Nobody else as solid all through the bag.

Titleist - drivers are OK, irons good not great.
TaylorMade - crappy wedges and putters. Irons OK
Srixon - Great irons, lousy drivers, Woods and hybrids.  Cleveland wedges very good. Putters weak
Ping - very good new drivers (last few weak), decent irons, underrated wedges very good putters
Mizuno - like Srixon, great iron lousy woods, decent wedges
Bridgestone - great irons, decent driver, underrated wedges
