Hey guys! I'm trying to gain some market research on how players buy golf balls. I have a business idea that I'd like to get going but I want to make sure it solves the right problems for the right golfers. If you can spare 2 minutes to take a 10 questions survey I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much!

I just finished the survey, Question #3 is a bit off.  I think it needs more options.  I like to play nice courses with nice equipment, but I am by no means an expert.

I am not sure this helps, but I don't purchase golf balls...I find them. I have about 50 dozen ProV's, as well as many assorted others. This is the first season I didn't actively look for golf balls.

I stopped the survey halfway through because it was too generic. The questions didn't have an answer that applied to my play. I don't know what satisfaction a person could obtain from a survey like this.
I play TF Bombs for casual play and 5a used premium balls for more serious games.

I buy pro v-1s by the dozen from the shop at the club.  Whenever possible I patronize the club pro.

I have bought all my balls through Lostgolfballs for the last three seasons.  I just bought 12 dozen 4A Taylormade TPx's for $8.99 a dozen. That should last me through the end of next season.

I don't have a set method for buying golf balls. I know some people grab a dozen at a time. I have done that but, have also purchast from lost golf balls website, ordered in bulk from Vice, did the Costco runs, and sometimes just grab some stuff on sale at the local store if I am already in there.

I'll never buy at a course. If I do then i must be having an extremely off day as I normally have 18 in my bag at any given time.

Survey didn't really fit me... I look for good deals this time of year on premium balls.  Just bought Chrome Soft for $27 a dozen at DSG using coupon and new $31.99 pricing.  I usually buy 3-5 dozen at a time - this forces me to stick with a certain type of ball for awhile. Index 4.1

Q#3 was the worst one. Too simplistic. I am a low-single digit golfer, play at a private club and only buy my Pro-V1s when it is "buy 3 get 1 free". Those 4 dozen get me through the prime golf season every year. Once posting stops, I use whatever I can buy for less than $20/dozen that has low compression, reasonable spin and a soft feel.
