Did you see Andrew Coltarts video of the cape cobra fighting the mongoose?  Crazy. Place looks like an amazing place to play, and is one of my favorite tourneys to watch.

Anyone have any idea What putter Schwartzel is using? It looks like an Anser with a gold finish, I'm thinking either the Ping karsten TR...

Love this tournament, the course is always in good nic and the views/animal sightings are always a winner.

Got to feel for Nedbank when they put on an event like this and most of the big names give it a miss.

Just too much golf I guess.

I don't think they are stressing too much, the field is pretty decent seeing as it's already a small one... I would like to see more of the big guys playing in it though! I think over the next couple of years we will see more big guys coming to play.

I know itís the end of the year and people are fighting for the Race to Dubai, but thereís a lot of travel involved to get to the Nedbank in South Africa for just one week which keeps some players away

I hope you are right. Personally, I can't see all the Rolex series events surviving. The Italian & the Turkish being the one's likely to fade.

It might be a touch controversial, but maybe Nedbank should approach the PGA Tour and look at sponsoring an event the week before or after the CIMB.

Been out watching and the wind is causing carnage all over the course, strong cross winds on holes with bushes on both sides of the fairways. Ryan Fox hit a 400 yard drive in 30kmph down wind on 15 then 15 minutes later the 210 yard par 3 playing in the complete opposite direction down wind was a 7 iron.  Only 16 players under par but a calmer weekend should see some better scoring.
Fabulous event to watch, equivalent of $15us per day entry with cheap food and $3 cans of Stella 500ml go down great in the hot weather, not over crowded so can get pretty close to all the tee shots and listen to the chat between players and caddies.

Yeah that Italian Open is not going to fade until at least after the Ryder Cup in 2022. The European Tour keeps these events going. Look at the Wales Open or the Johnnie Walker Scottish PGA.

The enigmatic Dubuisson leading.

The leaderboard at the top is quite tightly packed.

Good win for Grace. I was surprised at how much longer off the tee he was than his playing partners.

Gracie is sneaky long. That utility he hit on 18 looked like an old tiger stinger that ran out for a mile. I like his game and think he's got that killer instinct to def pass his boys schwartzel and Louis o in majors and wins. Great win after a super solid weekend

Grace hits it quite low but has such a penetrating flight.

I'm sure the is possibly a major win in him.

I'd back Grace for a major, he definitely knows how to close out a tournament and he fights for it. That low ballflight makes him a contender for an Open victory but really I think it could be any major.

Stoked that a Saffer won! It's been 10 years since the last South African victory I believe...

Grace has proven that he's capable of a Major Win several times, has been right up there time and again. Not a Masters expert, The Open maybe most likely.
Lowest Major 18-holer ever was pretty impressing too.
Jamieson didn't look too happy afterwards, but made more euros than he have his last 2 seasons. That should give some comfort.

Miffed to have missed this. Golf Network in Japan used to show it, but they appear to have dropped it.

Grace went utility then 8-iron on the 502 yard 18th. I know his drive rolled out, but did he hit it 300 yards plus?

Grace hit all 18 greens in regulation on Sunday. That's a pretty tough course, that's some hitting.

Well done Branden! That is a lovely course, was able to play it some years ago. Beautiful views in all directions.

Here's hoping that Grace can keep that form going into the 2018 season.
