PXG has addressed the market rather well through 2017 meeting the needs of all golfers. What do they have in store for 2018?

All golfers? Maybe less of a market than other makers since their market is cost prohibitive to most. And that's okay -- but they did not address the want of affordability for many.

In 2018, PXG is branding Schools - you can now buy PXG branded accessories for SMU  and Oregon.

Big mistake. You were hoping for useful info, when all you'll get is unreasonable complaints from people that don't want to plunk down the cash for PXG equipment.

Or have no reason to plunk it down. Nothing new here except higher prices and ridiculous hype.

I wouldn't call what people have said so far unreasonable or complaints.

Instead I would call them funny and jokes.

I've never understood the naysayers and blowhards who bash PXG unconditionally. I have been a lifelong Titleist loyalist and can honestly say that after trying a PXG hybrid it not only lived up to the hype, but exceeded my expecatations.

I'm not certain of the other offerings as this is the only club I own and have hit from PXG but as the old adage goes, "don't knock it until you try it".

It's not that the product isn't good or bad it's more about the owner being a major blowhard and rubbing people the wrong way.

PXG balls? $80 a dozen for 2 Piecers.

The clubs didn't impress me. They felt good but, weren't fitted for me and just didn't vibe right. You can't hold malice towards those that are willing to shell out for PXG gear. They are growing the sports and if they have that kinda cash, then let them do it. Beat them with a cheaper club. It hurts more.

I was frankly one of the bigger skeptics out there.  Buddy of mine got 0311Ts in
may and has played all the players clubs.  He's a good golfer and has praised these clubs from day 1.  I've hit them at demo days a couple times and they feel real solid.  Never thought they were worth the
Cost frankly.  I finally got a great deal on some 0311  heads here on WRX and played them for first time
on friday.  They don't feel like a Srixon or Mizuno forged.  I think they're like a high end Ping Forged   They play better than my 765s or Miuras.  I actually think these may be worth the hype.

Which can be said about any quality brand out there for a particular player. For every person wowed by PXG there are 10 sets of clubs made in the last 5 years that would get the same reusult when fitted properly. So aside from the bling factor whats the point?

I have several times, and still like to knock it.

Ridiculous price for an overrated club.  It is it a solid iron, yes, is it near worth what they want, no.

The resale market has tanked, the jig is up Bob.

Try and tell me some whacky hollow forged iron with some goo and screws in it is a better feeling, performing club than a 1 piece Mizuno forging, then tall me the price again.

Yes, I could buy a set if I wanted to, as I am sure that will be the defense as with all PXG loyalists.  "you just can't afford em"......

Golf companies are in the business of selling new clubs and couldnít care less about the resale market. Hell PXG has yet to lower MAP pricing on any of their clubs. The 0311 iron from 2015 (three years) is still in the line and has only gone up in price from $300 to now $350. The only ones who care about ďresale marketĒ are the club whores on sites like this.

You are correct on that but also there are a lot of folks who finance in part or whole new purchases based on resale of equipment.  If someone likes PXG and finds the resale values have dropped then that increases the amount of out of pocket spend they need to finance the new set.  Not sure how much impact that would have on their sales.  I follow these threads on PXG to an extent but don't really follow the company that closely and I don't think they release sales figures anyway.

Or the first three Ping iron sets that were all forged. Ping 69, Ping Anser, Ballnamic etc..

I find it ironic that the player with the most wins with their irons is Christie Kerr (4 wins) and she isnít a staff member because she wonít play their inferior Driver. Ironically she does play with a Ping Driver that a couple of the PXG designers may have had input on.

What part of that is dumb?  Knowing who owns/runs a company is an essential part of being an informed consumer.

If PXG were owned by a tree-hugging atheist I'm sure plenty of people would care.

I don't think that most people bash PXG unconditionally.  They have reasons for their opinions and if certain conditions changed with PXG I don't think they'd have the same reactions.
