I have been using an anser putter ( dd201 ), for a few years now but want to try somwthing different. For those who used a anser style, what have you tried and stick with it?

Spider?
5w?

Just need something different and want to know what people tried besise an anser.

Thank you for sharing

Played with the Nome for a while - but went back to an Anser.   Now using a Karsten TR Anser 2.     I still have my first (BeCu from ~91) but found I like the more modern ones with heavier head weights much better (and also adding about 30 gm to the butt end as well).

Played a Newport beach for years. Went complete opposite last year and gamed an odyssey 2ball fang until about a month ago. Came back to the middle ground and now game a sigma g kushin and love it.

So anser style to big hulky mallet to mid-mallet.

I"m an anser/newport guy as well.
sometimes I'll switch it up to a Newport 2 style with the flange line and boxier look
always go back to the Newport though

Talk about an open ended question.  There are hundreds if not thousands of different putters to chose from.

Anser has quite a bit of toe hang.  You may want to look at something that's face balanced just for variety.  If you are going to blind gamble you may as well get something quite different from what you play now.

Used a 34" Anser style putter for decades.  Flirted with various mallets over the years, but never stuck with one.  About a year ago I tried a Scotty Cameron X7M Dual Balance 38".  Shocking at how much better I putted compared to my Anser.  Just framed the ball better and I could see the line better.  Won't be going back.

I can see "not going back". "Not ever changing again" is a different story.

The answer (no pun intended) is probably yes since they machine these.  But it would cost a lot more $. Ping Tour will make virtually anything you want but it comes at a very heavy price.
This is a stock model just with custom paint.  Same as my gamer in my photo, just with a different look

Ping Bergen and Odyssey 6M when not using a blade. Always have a Ping model of some sort in the stable.

I've really been looking at the Newport Beach to try. Might keep me with Scotty's. I've tried the Spider but it just doesn't meet my eye or stroke. Make sure it fits your all your expectations. Many people have different putting strokes so you will get a variety of answers
