Any rumors of new balls coming out of Callaway?  Their CEO mentioned new ball launches in 2018 (see below).  Do you only expect more TruVis colors or is something else on the way?

Very excited to see how they follow up Chrome Soft and CSX.

"[the new golf ball plant] improves the quality of the product and it also adds new capabilities from a technology perspective that we will be incorporating into some of our new products that we'll announce for next year and it also adds incremental capacity"

Not sure what is coming out but the Chrome soft is on sell everywhere which means something new will be coming out.

Yep!  This is my thoughts too!  If everyone is selling it at a discount like it is, I also think that the next version of the ball is being released.

I like free personalization and $32 - but it'll cost $3 more to call your number.

The worst part of a new ball or version of the ball when it comes out is that you don't know if it will be better or worse for you than the previous version!  I have stocked up on a few dozen of the CS's but can't wait to see what new improvements come out in the new ball!  I didn't know that was even possible!  :)

They need to put the truvis pattern on whatever comes next. All it is is a print. They can put it on any of the balls.

Just posted this in another thread, but if callaway is listening:

I want a ball that feels like the current chromesoft, plays like the X off of irons/woods, spins like a ksig around the greens, and has yellow/black or other bright truvis colors to easily differentiate my ball from the group when we are coming down the fairway.

And make them cheaper.

That is all.

My local shop said they are coming out with a matte finish ball.  I believe a 3pc surlyn type similar to the Volvik Vivid. To be sold in 15 ball packs

I’d like a Chrome Soft but without the chevron on the ball.....just a small script Callaway and the number.

I heard the same thing, Callaway is going after the Volvik Vivid market with colors and matte finish.

My research indicates Volvik has about a 2% market share in the US, but it's increasing due to it's matte colored golf balls and increasing demographic of female golfers.

Many companies are trying to capitalize on the failure of Volvik to fill orders recently. Our August 9th order partially arrived November 4th, missing 2 colors of vivid.

I know I reached out to Wilson about their matte ball since we seemed to be unable to get volvik consistantly.

The ball is flying off the shelves everywhere I have seen it, shocked to see elwhippy's comment, must be located somewhere in the midwest where I could see volvik taking a while to get to.

I still prefer and play the Hex Chrome + head and shoulders above the newer offerings. For me the Nike RZN Tour Black was also a recent favorite.  Maybe Callay can get some of that Rock love.

New Chrome Soft X.  Has a larger core for better "spin separation", i.e. low spin off driver, high spin off wedges.  I have only putted with it so far and it feels great.  Slightly firmer than the current CSX.  I won't get a chance to put it in play until Wednesday.

Many may not agree with me here, but I feel like Callaway needs to enhance the font/color of the SCRIPT on the CS/X.  The plain black looks like all the other balls they produce.  I think the old HX Tours were WAY better looking.  Its all about the little things in life...

Exhibit A: Titliest Pro V vs all their lower models.  The branding (script) on the Pro V is unique and distinct.

I'm always a bigger fan of a ball with better script but, meh, I wouldn't be concerned with this.

Time to stock up on CS16 then.  $31 vs $44?  Why pay that much more for a new plant with better quality control & increased capacity?  I’m also cool with just white & yellow.

I did this when Titleist raised the NXT from $28 to $34.
I started using DT Solo, Trusoft, and some of the Srixon balls.

Price on the Chome Soft Line is going up to $44.
Had a talk with a shop Mgr last night on how this is a bad move and how most will say... "for $5 more, I can buy ProV's"

Time to find a new ball.  No reason for the price increase.  For years golfers played with balls that did not spin very much and played very well. Now everyone wants a high spin ball and the companies are taking advantage of it by increasing the price every year.  Going to find a low cost ball and learn adjust to a ball that rolls out.
