Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on DonD but I grabbed one of these yesterday. They are "Used - like new" from AMZ warehouse deals but the one I received was brand new in the original box. Seems like a decent deal for around $80 after tax. They have quite a few left.

Not sure my link takes you to the "used" section but you just have to click through that and then sort by "condition - like new" to find them.

Nice find! I've been pretty happy with my Bushnell Tour V2 for years but for this price I figured I'd try out the Nikon to see if it works better and if I like the smaller size.

I had one of these. Solid and accurate finder -- my only problem was the weight. It was so light, that if the wind is blowing or your hand is shaking a little it makes it pretty tough to laser anything over 200 yards.

Thank you. Use a watch, but there are occasions where I have wanted to upgrade my very very old rangefinder to something sleeker but didn't feel it was ever worth the expense.

You just gave me the opportunity. Thanks.

Thanks OP! Anyone else used one of these who can weigh in on how they do? Was looking at other $120 or so options, but seems like this is a nice, reputable brand, and for even less that the cheaper options I was looking at.

I've been satisfied just using my GPS watch but for this price, I will give this a try.

Thanks for the heads up!  I was about to spend $299 on a Leupold GX-1i3, but for a fraction of the cost, I decided to give this one a shot.  With Amazon Prime, I get free return shipping if it does not work out.

Tempted, but really want something with slope adjustment.  I passed on a Nikon 40i at Golf Galaxy for $135 because all they had left was a demo and they wouldn't discount any further.  I'm torn between this Nikon 20 for $80 shipped vs one of these no-name units with reasonable reviews for $90-$100:

Awesome deal. But Isle go for the slope for only $20 more if you really want it. The no name should work just as good. I'd scoop up this Nikon if I already didn't have a no name non slope $120 laser that's held up just fine for two years+ now. Slope might help me on a few unfamiliar courses but I pretty much already know my yardages around my home course without it based on fellow partners' calculations and experience. That said, an extra $20 is well worth it for piece of mind assuming there is Amazon return/warranty policy.

I go back and forth on how much I need a laser at all... I've been using GolfPad along with a smart watch (currently Pebble Time Round or Magellan Echo, previously Android Wear) for over a year now and it does 99% of what I need including slope adjusted club recommendation (but not slope-adjusted raw yardage).  The main downfall is it gives yardage to front/middle/back of green and is not aware of actual pin location.  This usually isn't a problem and if I want to know a more exact yardage I can just open up the hole layout and tap where on the green the pin is (same for intermediary yardages to clear water/sand/dogleg/etc).

That said, there are definitely times (mostly 80 yards and in) that it would just be easier to shoot the pin without having to try to figure out exactly where it is... mainly when I can see the stick/flag but the hole itself is obstructed and/or when there's either not a pin location chart in the cart (which I rarely even remember to check), the chart is just wrong, or I'm walking.

I always felt the same way but lately it seems the nicer courses around me are getting rid of the different color flags to designate front, middle, back. I live in Pittsburgh and itís pretty hilly which makes it nearly impossible to tell where flag is on some holes. I bought this same model on clearance at my local Dickís about 2 months ago for about $80 new and I love it. Wish I would have made the switch earlier.

Picked one up in the "used - very good" condition. Box was a little beaten up but like the other posters, the unit and all accessories were still in original plastic, never been used. Good deal!

Mine arrived yesterday.  Just as described, in Like New condition.  No signs of any use.  Can't wait to try it out.  Most likely a unit that was purchased and returned, but never used.

Since they sold out, it would sure be nice if anyone who doesn't plan to keep it at least offered to the WRX community for around cost + shipping...I can't imagine a sub-$100 brand new rangefinder would sit on the BST for long...

I got one but I'm leaning towards going back to my Tour V2. Let me know if you're interested and I'll sell it to you for cost plus shipping and PP fees if I decide to go back to the V2 for sure.

That is very kind - I believe (I hope) my wife took advantage of the deal. I was more thinking in the best interest of other community members, including those who may not have seen this thread or missed out on the deal. Might as well spread the wealth; that's one of the things that makes this site so great.
