in 2017 I purchased the Callaway Epic Driver, HZRDUS shaft and Titleist 716 CB irons.... I absolutely love the irons and the driver both.  But I kinda just stumbled upon the shaft and I think that itself is my best purchase. it has completely changed the way a driver feels for me (had it in my M2 and the Epic both this year)

Titleist 716 TMB 3-4

Considering you love your driver and you have all time great iron in the 716CB. You’re laughing

I'd have to say my best purchase of 2017 was my COBRA LTD Pro driver with the Veylix Rome 688 and Rome Roughneck 7RA shafts to go it. I've never felt so confident with a driver

Simplified my golf bag setup. Got rid of 3 and 5 woods in favor of a 4 wood and 3 hybrid. Switched my irons to a more friendlier version, and a new putter. Also, I practice daily and my handicap is reflective of the work I've put into the game.

The hard work is finally starting to show in my scoring...

It really helps eliminating 3 putts and hitting more greens :taunt:

2017 TM M2 Tour 3 wood with PX Hzdrus Red shaft

Small, neat head, very easy to draw, high but boring ball flight, great feel and nearly as long as my driver

Best 3 wood I ever played and will be in the bag for years - I could easily do a Henrik Stenson with this and play it on every hole

Absolutely brilliant club

Set of 2-9 iron MacGregor VIP Limited’s from the early 1970s. They have really enhanced my enjoyment of the game and by focusing on the strike of the ball, my handicap has dropped 2 strokes since I got them.

2017 M1 driver. Most forgiving driver I've played with. I've hit heel and toe shots that shouldn't have been anywhere near the fairway but ended up in play. On top of that when struck well, it goes a mile.

I updated my whole bad this year except wedges and putter so:

I picked up a TEE CB Pro F2 16.5* off eBay for $90 shipped brand new in the plastic... Came with what I think is a knockoff Speeder but I hit it well so I'll hold off on replacing the shaft. I love this club so much I just bought a CB Pro U and it'll be here tomorrow!

STOLE a set of 716 MBs from Golf Galaxy for $299+tax... I wasn't looking for new irons but I couldn't walk away from that deal. And I'm glad I didn't because I like them a lot

Also, my sun mountain c130 stand bag. I don't walk anymore so for me, it's the perfect cart bag with legs. Really happy with it

Good year for me equipment-wise!

Cobra F7 SL irons. These clubs should be deemed “clubs of the year”. Not because of the play but on the hype it brought to the market by a larger manufacturer. Nothing against Wishon’s or Edel those two may actually be better but for the hype only.

Definitely the P770s. Have forced me to become a better ball striker and a better swinger of the golf club. Add 15-20 yards with these in the bag.

I joined a country club.  Best investment I’ve ever made.  To be able to grab my bag after work and go play 9 holes, priceless.  I also invested in new mizuno jpx forged 990’s coming off ap2.  Little more forgiving but feel is amazing.   Off season will be eyeing up new technology in wedges and getting rid of 3 wood for 5 wood in spring.  Driver will be next major upgrade but will wait

Epic SZ was good. But, as soon as I paired it with the AD TP it took it up a notch. I've had the best year driving the ball that I can remember. Cut down penalty stroke, and added a ton of confidence.

Ping G driver with Tour 65 shaft.  I am so much straighter with it.

i went to a short game clinic at Bowes Creek and John Esposito gave me great tips on pitch shots.
Just need to remember to take my right thumb and index finger off the club and my tension is gone.
I have been fearless ever since.

I finally bit the bullet and got fitted for a set of 718 AP2s.  I've always used hand me downs from my Dad or bought used clubs that weren't fitted to my specs.  Got them fitted with DG TI X100s.  My consistency with my irons has improved tremendously over the past month!

Oban Kiyoshi HB (04 Flex) fitted to an old 915 D2 10.5, improved my ball speed abd carry..plus the graphic is a killer.

Vokey SM6 50: chipping, pitching, hit it consistently well so far,  pretty much leaving the 54 in the bag most of the time.

An hour lesson with a local pro, the best purchase so far, quickly pointed out some issues with take away and tempo for long and short game (after my 2 yrs absence from golf).

I bought most of my bag new or used this year.

Best purchase are the 716 AP2 that put such a fantastic flight on the ball, my GIR is up and my confidence is up tremendously.

Also the O-works black putter. I honestly feel I can sink anything with it, and I can't remember the last time I 3 putted.

Picked up a mint condition Scotty Cameron Newport in the Gun Blue finish off the Classifieds section. Just love the classic look and when it's on I made the nicest putts this year. I rotate about 4 same style putters, but when I play with this, it made the game much more enjoyable.

I like the fact that there's no gimmicks and no sight line, weight and feel of face is perfect. I am looking for a beached newport or an 009. Hopefully 2018 will be kind to me :)

Snake Eyes 685BX wedges

I thought the Eye2+ and Callaway X Forged C-grind were the best wedges ever for me and are all I have played for 10+ years. For some strange reason, I play better with these Snake Eyes wedges.

So far... a tie for best 2017 purchase.

1a.)  Scotty Cameron Studio Select GoLo.  Found it like new with the black mist finish.  Took a while, but love how this thing putts.
1b.)  Recently picked up a 1989 set of Ping Eye 2's in pristine condition.  Compared to the "modern" irons I've had in the bag this year, still trying to understand why I ever let previous sets of Eye 2's to leave the bag.  Struggled all year with the short irons, until putting the Eye 2's back in the bag.
