The last time I played, let alone hit a Wilson club was around the late 80's and the only reason I bought the driver was because of the name of the shaft LOL!  This time though the C300 driver is in the running.

Nice catch.  Video was short but gave us a glimpse of the bottom of the driver.  Looks to me like this shape is going be terrific.  Need more reviews!

BTW, I assume its being released in Australia first because it is summer there??

Driver reminds me of the old Deep Red with a Fat Shaft just with a matte paint job.  Had one in 7.5 and loved it! If it only had "power holes" it might still be in the bag today...

Ha! I still have mine in my club collection. Deep Red 365 with a .480 shaft I think? dusted it off last year and took it to the range. Still goes, but not as long as my 915D3.

Honestly that driver doesn't look bad at all, actually one of the better shapes I've seen in ages.... Power holes? People want to complain about that but are happy with Turbulators??

I know what you mean, when I demo’d the G400 not only were the turbulators ugly but the overall shape of the head was terrible. I’ll take a better shape with a couple of power holes over the G400 all day. It helps that I love the red. Of course performance will be the determining factor.

C300 cast should be replacing the C200 and many think the C300 Forged version would replace the F5 forged set.

Right after first of the upcoming year. Most likely after the PGA Show.

V6s should be around another year. Believe they’ve been out for a year if not mistaken.

I agree. V6's shouldn't be replaced until late 2018 if they get replaced at all this upcoming year. And by late...I mean June lol. c300's look like the AP3's IMO. Not a bad idea when you think about it. Basically try to compete with Cally Apex and AP3 and JPX Forged? Solid market for it but sadly, still a lot of bad tastes when the average golfer thinks Wilson. Maybe not bad, but not as sweet as Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno, etc.

But heck I'll pre-order a set in LH as soon as I can. Emailing my rep in a bit to see if he knows release date here in US and if there's a LH plan.

One of the other sites has a tester. Indicated spin is very low. I just noticed rickie had it set on 10.5  for a 9 driver.  Would think the face would be horribly closed, no?   Looks like a us online retailer has created a sku with image to come soon.  I don’t think we will be necessarily waiting for Jan for this one.

I am looking forward to the V6 being replaced. I love the V4’s, played them for two seasons. I briefly went to the V6 but the shape and the look at address just did not fit my eye. I am hoping the next iteration (V8?) will have a shape more similar to the V4.

C300 Forged combo with v6.....TAKE MY MONEY MR. WILSON!!!!! classic good looks and can only imagine the performance.....

If they don't release the c300 in LH then I may just have to learn to play right handed...

pierso-

What you do is your decision, not theirs.

In 2014..

When Wilson Golf decided NOT to make any LH models of their FG Tour 100 Forged irons, supposedly celebrating their 100 years in golf-

Is when they lost me.

Indeed there is. Nice looking irons fir the targeted players. I’ve found them st Rockbottom and a few places. Nice that you can mix and match the irons and hybrids up to the 6. The “other site” did a nice write up on them. They’re also now listed on the Wilson site as well.

The C300 cast is a bit stronger in loft than the forged model, by a degree.
The C300 cast model has more offset than the forged model
The sole width on the cast model is just a bit wider than the forged model.
With the addition of both a cast and forged model Wilson will have 2 irons in their three categories F- c - D

The D350 will not have a driver, the article previously written is about the release is on point.

I like the red, its different, the power holes are not so different in color i.e. they are not white.
I am not the designer so I can tell you the reason but having (2) 2 gram weights and (1) 6 gram weight is nearly useless in my mind.
Adjustable to +2, -1 on Driver , FW and Hybrid.
The tech in the driver does carries through to the Fw and hybrid which we don't see in a lot of other companies.
LH not out yet so no performance to report.

Leftys do not fret, there are options in all the model just not all the options for RH.
