Are they really called power holes?

They've been using it on the irons for years. The original term came from a tennis racquet technology they came up with in the 90's.

I know one of the posters in this thread already has a set of the new Wilson irons in his bag and might have hit the driver already as well. He would know when everything is being released.

Honestly that driver doesn't look bad at all, actually one of the better shapes I've seen in ages.... Power holes? People want to complain about that but are happy with Turbulators??

The head shape of the driver looks great. I also want to try some of the PMP wedges.

Does that look like a dent in the cavity of the 4 iron?  I wonder if we will hear complaints in the future ala face slots...

I was noticing that too but it looks more like a decal that's dented...
If it is then not good your irons could look all chopped up real quick

10 rounds and don’t have a single flaw really. Nicks happen. Little decals/inserts get dented or “damaged” randomly. Nothing to do with craftsmanship. Just he material used.

Not crazy about the driver, but the irons look really cool. If the lofts are traditional and not jacked up I'd definitely give them a try.

I wonder if the driver head shape is based on the Pivot driver that lost the driver vs driver show? Is it a more player friendly version of that driver? That was the 1 the pros liked.
As for the irons, if they fall into the GI category there as nice as anything out there.

To my eye the driver has the same shape as a lot of the old Adams stuff. Which would make sense as their lead designer used to be at Adams.  Even the lines on the face are the same.

Adams used to have great stuff in all categories; Wilson appears to be carrying on that tradition.

I thought the same thing about the shape.

I love the look of the driver, but I could do without the words power holes written on top. Won't stop me from bagging one if I like ti though. I just hope to be able to demo one somewhere.

Holly crap! Driver 'retails' for $500? So street price would be around $400 I'm guessing.
Irons 'retail' price is way up there too. No thanks.

Those are probably Australian prices so would need to do the conversion for US pricing

Edit:  Current conversion rate is 1 Australian dollar = 0.76 US dollars so that comes out to $379.24 USD

It’s all in the eye of the beholder I guess.  I can’t stand the epic or ping shapes and can barely stand the M1 440 shape.  The closest shape I’ve liked is the 816/RFX and maybe the Nike vapor pro.  Not sure why they can’t make nice shaped drivers anymore.

Looks like the stock shafts are evenflow (black?) and the Fuji pro 58

Actually, the irons look really good and the driver head shape is old school good, to me. The "alignmentability" of the black inserts is a nice benefit of their placement. They seem helpful in setting up and squaring the face. In addition, they look like they extend all the way through the head, behind the face, and out the sole. Nothing jail-break about this. Looks more like a feature for dampening, absorption, face flex and sound. Now a double jail-break technology, might be very appealing. In other words, jail-break the crown and sole like Callaway has done, for rigidity, but then ,also jail-break from the existing sole ports angled up and back to the top of the back of the head. Would provide same structural rigidity back to front as it does now from top to bottom. Just saying.......

they seem to be "on sale" in Australia - I can add it to the cart at Drummond Golf and it says shipping within 7 days.

http://www.drummondg..._adjustabil.png

$500 is a good launch price in OZ too - Epics were around $650 - $730 when they first came out.
