Some things I simply can't  tolerate:

"Nurse Talk" -  I have zero patience when it comes to stories about "difficult" patients.
Waiting in line at the deli counter.  I often walk up front and just start ordering.
Non-traditional dishes at Thanksgiving.  Experimentation is for a Tuesday night, not a holiday.
18 holes in any format exceeding 4.5 hours.

Longest round - 5:50.  Standard round, just a very busy day due to an overzealous course employee who accidentally scheduled tournament on a Sunday with a full tee sheet.

We have a local muni that is in the hills. Tree lined fairways, small greens, weird lies. Not links golf, just very uneven lies and several creeks that run through the course. Play is always slow because of the nature of the course. Had to stop playing there as 5+ hour rounds occur way to often. Munis....

Me and a buddy went to check out a local course I had not yet played.

We get there and find out that they force foursomes and stack 3 tee times per hole. We get paired up with two guys completely wasted. That paired with 3 groups per hole yielded 6.5 hour round.

Needless to say I have never gone back.

5 hours 15 minutes and we were barely on the 13th hole!

This was the second time I played this particular course. I knew the course is notorious for long rounds, but that day was too much.  I left after hole 13.

I've never been back to the course, I avoid it like the plague.  They allow riding 6 some last time I was there.

If you don't believe me...book a round at Diamond Bar Golf Course in Diamond Bar, CA.

I will give you two...
I once played a Charity Event on a 9 hole course and they packed the course with 9 holes of an A, B and C Group for an 18 Hole Event!!!

My wife called me after 3.5 hours and we hadnít even finished 9 holes. The entire round was just over 7.5 hours. I only stayed because we were going to win.

The longest round I didnít finish. Playing Clearwater CC in Clearwater, FL last year - in a non-tournament my front 9 lasted just under 4 hours. It was the worst thing I have ever experienced- I walked off after the 9th hole. I was swearing in the car most of the way home.

Knoll East golf course in Parsippany, NJ, late 1990s, back in the golf boom days when every public course in north NJ was packed to the gills from sunup to sundown on the weekends. I left after the front nine took about 3 hour 10 minutes. There were 3 groups stacked up on the 3rd tee, which is a long par 3 hole. I recall sitting on that tee for well over a half an hour. Tempers were flaring everywhere. Pre-smartphone days so I wished I had brought a book or something to read. Never returned to that course on a weekend after that.

Maybe not as bad as a few others; but had a 6+ hour round on a weekend morning in a drizzle behind a 5-some of 60+ year old walking women. Semi-private club; apparently was ok for members to get by with anything. Waited obviously on every shot; wouldnít let us play through. Not sure why we finished; now in a similar situation Iíd call the pro shop & walk off if they didnít fix it. Havenít been back; was probably 7-8 years ago.
