Looks better lefty.

It's the same reason Ken Griffey Jr.'s swing looks so good...as right handers we can't quite perceive what they're doing so it takes on a beautiful, mythical quality.

And now you've ruined that for me : )

I feel this way about jump shots.  I saw a video where some good shooters were flipped lefty, and they looked incredible.

I liked Phil’s driver swing righty, at full speed.  His partial swings look way better to me left-handed, though.

I love Phil’s swing...either sides...

His leg action is spectacular and pure 70s....his backswing is Bobby jones epic...and his follow thru is spectacularly though noones follow thru is as gorgeous as jack, Monty or any of the reverse c guys....but phil is close

I really like his action seen this way. Very cool.

Seen normal I always thought he overswing and was overactive with his hands. Then I see it flipped and I'm like "Oh , I swing like that."

I'm  a sidist...is that a word? I don't know
But I tend to cheer for righties..
Because I can't "see" the left handed swing as well...

Anyhow, phil is the exception...
I have always loved his Johnny Miller leg shuttle, Bobby jones length backswing, and high handed shaft finish a la Monty..
Phil's swing is straight out the 70s and is friggin awesome...

Anyhow, I recommend u watch till the end when he was at chambers bay...
His swing is a work of art...

-Chris

Call me crazy, but I see a bit of a Jordan type flying chicken wing on several of those - particularly full wedges.....

It reminds me of Rahm how Figjam pounds the ball into the turf with a swing that looks short. He really goes left with his swing

Download Johnny’s 73 sequence he did for a golf foldout...you can zoom in...
And he said he swung “easy” so the camera could catch his club...
His metal spikes still are twisted out of place at the end because of the obsurd torque he put on them even on an “easy”swing..

Damn I miss miller, Weiskopf, nicklaus, and all the reverse c swings as far as the eye could see...

Did you read the Johnny interview when he said he had small stress fractures on his left lower shin in i believe 77 or 78 from the torque of his foot twisting? insane!

Awesome video!

Looks completely different compared to natural lefty.

While I was watching, all I could think was, 'man that looks like me.' .... Not saying that's a good thing, nor a bad thing. I've gone back to the stronger grip though. The neutral, weak, grip is not for me. I do apply it around the greens and in the bunker, but not for full swings.

Even though it was an obvious dumpster fire for the players and spectators, Chambers Bay was immensely entertaining and fun to watch on TV.

If a player appeared with the undisputed greatest golf swing and the history of the game and that particular player happened to be a lefty...the swing just wouldn't look right to me.  It's either my eye or my mind but I just can't grasp it.

Flipping Phil's swing let's me finally see why he's been as great as he's been.  A lot of good stuff going on there....and he's a pretty good putter too.

I'm with you, man.    It's hard to nail down the right terminology when describing the irregularity of the left-hander golfer.
It just seems grossly out of place.

Like when you get matched up with one of them.

His little 3/4 iron swing is just incredibly good.  Not sure why he ever swings any other way.  I wonder if he could hit a stinger that way with a 2 iron to hit more fairways?
