I am planning a "pilgrimage" trip to play Sweetens Cove in a few weeks and wanted to make a 4 day golf road trip out of. I am looking for suggestions on what courses to play between SC, Chattanooga, and Asheville. Right now this is what I have planned.

Day 1: Canyon Ridge drive to The Course a Sewanee and play in the same day
Day 2: Sweetens Cove
Day 3: Sequoyah National/Brasstown Valley/The Ridges Country Club
Day 4: Grove Park Inn/Asheville Muni/Mount Mitchell

Thanks for your help!

There's a sweet new track at Old Toccoa Farm. 9 holes are open for play while the other 9 are being built, but the place looks awesome.

Only one I've played on there is the Grove Park Inn. It's not a long course at all, but it's a fun, old-style course that presents enough of a challenge to keep you interested.

Yeah I was hoping to tee off early then head over to sewanee and try to finish nine or more by the time it got dark.

That is why I was leaning towards brasstown on the third day.

Oh yes! I'm going to use the heck out of that all day pass lol.

I live in Asheville, so here's my two-cents worth:

Grove Park Inn is very nice

Asheville Muni, though quite cheap to play, is likely to disappoint as the turf is generally poor

Mount Mitchell is interesting, it's always cart path only, there are some monster trout in the stream which the pro shop will sell you baggies of dry dog food with which to feed them

Two others are Broadmoor to the south and Reems Creek to the north. Both are somewhat better than Asheville Muni, but I'd suggest the Grove Park and Mount Mitchell courses.
Knowledge of the Rules is part of the applied skill set which a player must use to play a round of competitive golf.

Haven't played most of those but I can say I am a big fan of Grove Park Inn.  It has an expensive rack rate but there are Golfnow hot deals that make it a great value.

It is a short course but it's old school Donald Ross and it's a beautiful property

I thought Sequoyah National was really fun. It's kind of like a crazy 'Golden Tee' video game course. Reems Creek has a nice layout, but I've experienced some poor conditions there before.
