I think Aphi is a great player, just needs to close the door on a few tournaments. Once he does that, the sky is the limit.....The guy can flat out play!

Kiradech pulled out of the Boonchu Ruangkit Championship with a "back injury" and will finish the year 49th with an invite to the Masters.

Had the chance to meet him last year at a goat track in St. Cloud, Fl. that my kids were playing at.  He was there with an entourage of 10 people it seemed like.  Nice guy.  Hope he does well.

Aphibarnrat looks to move to top 40 OWGR with his victory in Perth.  The climb continues.  Impressive victory.

Over the last month or so, Kiradech Aphibarnrat seems to be regaining some of the form he had a couple years back and prior to surgery.  Although he still seems to subscribe to the Calcavecchia  school of course management, he is hitting stellar shots with greater frequency and I would not be surprised if he returns to a OWGR in the top 60 by this time next year.

What form would that be?
A beach ball?

Ok. As a guy who was once a few cheezborgerz shy of 4 bills, let me tell you the deal...

Guys like Aphibarnrat and Stadler Jr are wide. They have room to swing. Daly is a freak with hand-eye to compete on the senior tour, but his gut was in the way his last years on the big tour.

If Aphibarnrat wins a big one, heíll win more. Heís got Daly-like coordination. Just needs confidence.
They who are enamoured of practice
without knowledge are like the mariner
going to sea without a rudder or compass
and who navigates without a course.

Did you see him? He hasn't lost any weight. Still a great win for him. His driving stats are terrible but he is an incredible putter.

I can't find the Perth thread but wow what a complete meltdown by the 36 hole stroke play leaders Lee Westwood and Brett Rumford. Lee Westwood who pitched/chipped in 3 times over the three previous days completely lost his wedge game in the final round and Rumford's wayward drives down the stretch knocked them both out of the top 24 match play stage.

Aphibarnrat now OWGR top 30.  Looks like I was a bit off on my prediction.

Great story but donít believe that Olympics story. Trust me, if someone from Brasil broke into his locker, the wallet would be gone. He either forgot them somewhere or another player/caddie took them.

In regards to his game, I followed him for 18 holes and couldnít believe how far he would outdrive his co-competitor. ( Bubba Watson )
