Currently use a Vokey 56 SM6 but find it quite `clicky`

What would you recommend as an easy to use `soft` go to wedge?

My vote is the the Cleveland RTX 3. Search for the reviews of the WRX'er's in the Cleveland giveaway.

Great wedges, I play the 50/45/58.

I play the T7 Mizuno wedges and really enjoy them.  Quite soft off the face.  The only downfall of them is that being forged even with the boron in them they still wear down a bit quicker than cast wedges.

Look for a forged wedge if you want a softer feel.  The older MD2's were super soft in my opinion.

I have a soft spot for Nike wedges. Too bad Nike is out of the golf equipment business. It took a while before I got a replacement for my Nike VR Forged wedges and I was lucky to get a big discount on a pair of new Nike Engage wedges, not as soft as the VR forged but still spins to my liking.

I'd vote for these too but they may be too clicky for him. I'm going to buy another set of them whenever they are getting rid of inventory.

Callaway MD Forged, or if you can find the older MD2  Both are super soft and have one of each in my bag because I too felt the SM6 were odd feeling/sound.  The MD2 rusted up nicely too if that's your thing

Go easy and don't take too much material and you wont.   I try to avoid hitting too many range balls and sharpen the grooves every 20 rounds or so.

I'm gaming Scratch forged wedges and they perform as well as they did new.

I play the T7 Mizuno wedges and really enjoy them.  Quite soft off the face.  The only downfall of them is that being forged even with the boron in them they still wear down a bit quicker than cast wedges.

  Get you one....Problem solved

I do have one!  I just don't want to grind them out too much and have them illegal

Go easy and don't take too much material and you wont.   I try to avoid hitting too many range balls and sharpen the grooves every 20 rounds or so.

I'm gaming Scratch forged wedges and they perform as well as they did new.

Those groove sharpeners are not easy to use and takes too long to do one wedge.
use some oil with it....I  use suspension fluid but motor oil works too...rub it on face and helps the sharpener to cut more smoothly.....1 wedge takes bout 5 min.....you dont have to gouge it
