that deal is an insult to even offer. No way I would take that deal. The M2s are better clubs any IMO.

Ping Anser Driver 9 turned to 9.5 with diamana ahina shaft
Cobra Baffler set to 17.5 with the Red Tie shaft
Titleist 818 H1 with the Tensei Pro White 90 shaft
Taylormade P790 Irons (5-PW) with Project X shafts
Callaway MD3 wedges (50 & 54) with KBS Tour shafts
Callaway PM grind (58) with KBS Tour shaft

I think what bothers me is that the person selling the titleist gets them for 50% off based off of PUD as the previous person mentioned, making new clubs $415 after the discount. Then he wants to trade them for $415 cash plus a m2 driver and 3w. He pockets the cash and has a free driver and 3w. On the other hand buyer questions whether it is a fair trade. Well, it depends. At $830, you're technically buying the clubs at retail price but paying only half of the cash and trading in your m2. If you consider how much you've spent for the m2 then add an additional $415, you would be paying a much larger amount. But you get new clubs if that's what you're going for.

OP can take it however he wants. If he really wants the 917, go for it. But in this scenario, we all know who got the better deal.

The OP never said they were getting them at a PUD.  The other guy just assumed that.  I read this more as he is dealing with a shop and the money for his M2 is trade-in credit that he can then use against full retail of the 917 product, given the prices he is quoting, that makes the most sense.  Also, most people are not allowed to use their PUD for anyone but themselves or immediate family and risk a ban if anyone finds out.  That's how it works with my company anyways.

Ah okay, understood. Anyway, I would still not go through with the deal if it was me.

Final decision is your and yours alone so do whatever make you happy.
If it was me though, not only would I not do this trade, I would never ever talk to this person again for trying to rob me blind.

I appreciate all the answers and thank you everyone. You made me understand that this deal is not good for me.

I will say no thanks and save the money on my savings account, and then see what 2018 brings.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
