Thinking of picking one of these up to replace a 4 hybrid. Need help with launch and distance.

Has anyone hit one of these or even seen one and what are your thoughts?

I saw a few 9's at my local PGASS but none of their stock had R or S shafts. They were all super soft. Appearance wise it's a damn fine looking fairway. I'd like to know someone who owns this fairway as well. Looks fun.

Thinking of getting one next year. I hit my fairway woods better than the hybrids anyways. The 9 wood is listed as 23.5°, would that replace the G400 5 iron which has the same loft.

With a much longer shaft than the 5 iron, I would expect it to be a club or so longer in distance than the 5 iron.

Same fitting issue with the 7 wood.  If you want to try a stiff shaft, probably going to have to use a 5 wood demo shaft.

9 wood is a 4 iron replacement

I'm intrigued. Would watch Ebay from time to time to see if a G10 9 wood
in decent shape ever showed up. No luck. Since that was the last I figured
Ping would not make a 9 wood ever again. I'm glad to see they are.
I need to check it out.

I always watch out for higher lofted woods or hybrids and their like a unicorn in stiff shafts , pretty they all come in women's or senior flex .

Michelle Wie is using both 9 and 11 woods......says she loves it when she has a shot
calling for the either of the two. She said she is more accurate with them than she is
with her wedges, lol. Probably has x flex in them. I think she's playing Callaway now
and she told them she wanted a 13 wood but they laughed and said no.

I remember seeing many G5 9 woods on Ebay and so true that they are considered
seniors and ladies clubs. I think the ladies was actually a different head than the mens.
But ya, most you find have the whippy shafts....but WRXers love re-shafting.

I don't care for the deep face woods from the G5 line. The G10 9 wood would have
been perfect; shallow and compact. I hope the G400 is similar in size to the G10 head
and is offered in reg and stiff and x flexes.

You're describing a V-Steel 9 wood.  Can be found with some prudent shopping you know where.  If one has an L flex shaft, better yet.  Seems to scare away a few bidders.  Shaft it up with the one of your preference (have a GD YS 6+ in mine).  Save yourself $200.00.  How much new tech does one need in a 170 yard fairway wood?
