I just ordered a 1997 Project CLN, but I do not know a lot about this putter. I cannot seem to find a definite number of how many of these were released. If anyone knows anything about that or the history of why it is called "C.L.N.", that would be interesting.

I faintly remember before the issue of this putter there was another name which conflicted with another manufacturer at the time. The name was changed to the CLN or possibly the CLN designation was dropped. This soon to be 62 year old brain cant remember. I have one in the pile of 90's SC putters in my golf work room in my home. Used it briefly and in true WRX form, moved on to another SC from the era.....which by the way, in this guys opinion, is when this brand was making putters from single blocks of carbon steel.  Putters that were awesome and defy time. CT my arshe!!

Most came polished with the black star, nickel plating. I think there were a smaller batch of another finish? Something brown comes to mind haha.

For a carbon putter, the one I had a while back felt a bit harsh to me. My TeI3 long neck feels way better.

The mill chatter on mine was incredible. It was everywhere. The cavity was really cool. Full of small circular milling marks. The polished finish really helps the mill marks pop out.

Regular CLN - 10,000. Nice LN putter in Black Star finish. :-)
