So I'm a golf nerd... a big golf nerd I also love putter design. Not so much for the fact that I CNC myself but it's stems from the fact that like many golfers I'm very particular about putter shape.

For years and years I used a ghost MA-81 and still own it. I love the look, the offset the shape of the heel- basically everything about it. I tried the odyssey #9 but just found it too "round" again this is a personal thing.

So I'm at a golf store the other day and got looking at the new TM putters and the Toulons based on the fact that Toulon was with TM when I bought my Ghost. I realize that this design actually originated with a TPM Spaulding design but to set the two side by side they are identical. Obviously there are some small design tweaks but every aspect of the shape is essentially the same. There is also a big difference between the two in price.

Find it hard to believe they get away with this. Not trying to pick a fight either way-I'm a Piretti guy now anyway but hard to believe more consumers don't pick up on this.

The higher priced one must be better though, right?
I think getting advice from guys who are sitting at the computer in their underwear while taking a break from porn is a very solid way to choose clubs. - bluedot

Eh, interesting but who cares. That design is basically a "classic" shape at this point. There are lots of Ansers and Anser 2s that all look nearly identical.

I have played the Scotty Del Mar and the Betty version of this head shape. It all depends on the the insert or milling IMO. I want to try toulon but have not found the right head/hosel combo yet.

Considering Toulon came from Taylormade I'm sure they are similar but I can see differences in the two. Toulon is wider front to back for one. Like it was mentioned before many manufactures have used this design.

THE Taylormade is thinner throughout the top line, bumpers and overall size. The Scotty delmar has many similarities to these two as well as other putters out there. I have not hit either of those but judging from other models in the respective lines the Toulon will have more weight and a soft feel off the face. The Taylormade is lighter and have a clicker slight harder feel off the face because of the pure roll insert
