Looks like Nike heads with a custom grind by probably Mike Taylor.  Hard to tell from just the limited amount of pics we're seeing. But I'd guess Endo forged.

My vote as well is for Endo.

It would be so cool if Mike Taylor worked on these!

Pretty sure he did.  Attached pic (looks to be the TGR irons in the works) is from Artisan Golf Instagram pictures.

Where those pics came from...
http://ngnation.com/...es-tw-cp-irons/

Definitely not the same irons as in that pic on ngnation, although crafted by same hands💪, on same cart, and similar shop towel underneath🙊😀

He has a deal w/ TM..............they said last year that they were working with him to come up with his own grind and it would be 9-12 months to see it.. Why is there even speculation on this?

The key component in all this is who "they" are. It's not pimple faced boys at TM.  A lot of the theys are just marketing words.

Rory's irons were developed by TM, Tiger's look just like those except the muscle is different, slightly. TM does prototyping and development via NC machining out of billets of steel. After that, if they go into production then the "they" might be someone else. He is signed to TM, they do have their own skunk works, why would they hire outside for that?

Boils down to whether you think the guy who creates the grind is the builder or the kid running the Cnc machine ?

Someone has to do the hand work so the program can be written.  No reason to think it's isn't the same person who's built Tigers irons for eons.     Tiger isn't swapping irons. Just logos.

I’d play 2 dozen other blades before I play Miuras. My apologies to the “3” people on golfwrx that play Miuras.

Miura def did make forgings for taylormade. The full 2004 rac tp cb sets were miura forged, TM said so.

Could be right, also could be they use a CMM machine and digitally copy the VR Pro, then spit out an exact duplicate.

Didn't Rory say that he had enough Nike golf balls to last him another 5 years when they shut down the equipment line? In that case wouldn't Tiger have enough Nike Blade iron sets to last him a lifetime if thats what he wanted?

I believe we have an answer.  These irons came from Mike Taylor.  I suspect he has a lot of Nike/Oven stock and can supply many former Nike staff players whatever club they desire.  Knowing the history of Tiger Woods, he will keep these irons in play for a year or two until the new TM prototype meets his liking.  I am sure he has his standard equipment criteria clause in the TM club contract.

Miura made irons for TaylorMade and MacGregor. They made Tigerís T irons, but they never made any of Nike irons.  They stopped making irons for TaylorMade because they couldnít supply the volume required. They made Titleist irons for Tiger because the last major forging house in the U.S. was having quality problems producing the 681s (head weights and poor chrome)

yea sir, it was a great visit, quite impressive to see that Mike and John purchased ALL the equipment there, also saw some "what could've been" Nike stuff while I was there. Planning on going back soon to pick up my wedges that MT worked on.

btw, not questioning whether MT did those TGR irons or not, I think he did. I'm just questioning the legitimacy of that apparent Tiger tweet. Looks off.

Miura doesn’t make irons for Nike, or any other manufacture. It’s just a rumor that keeps going and going and going. It’s unfortunate that this rumor keeps surfacing. It came up when Callaway released the new MB’s, then when Taylormade released the tour protos. It’s like no other company gets any credit for a nice new blade. So sick and tired of it.

PS. I’ve hit Miuras... meh.

I’d play 2 dozen other blades before I play Miuras. My apologies to the “3” people on golfwrx that play Miuras.

Miura def did make forgings for taylormade. The full 2004 rac tp cb sets were miura forged, TM said so.

Miura made irons for TaylorMade and MacGregor. They made Tiger’s T irons, but they never made any of Nike irons.  They stopped making irons for TaylorMade because they couldn’t supply the volume required. They made Titleist irons for Tiger because the last major forging house in the U.S. was having quality problems producing the 681s (head weights and poor chrome)

“Someone” has to provide the counter rumors that Miura has never made anything ;)

If Miura was just a forging house for TM and MAC, then why are they even in the conversation. No one ever says, “oh Tiger Plays Endo forged Irons...” which is probably the most true statement never said.

Nike, you’re spot on there.

Miura never made the T irons for Tiger. They were a custom forged set by Hoffman. I’ve got photographs to prove it. Yeah the forgings lacked in quality, but when you get a new set every year, chrome quality wasn’t an issue, it was only an issue for mass production. That’s why Titleist went to endo after the 681.

Oh, and Tiger did make a public statement that he has never played an iron forged by Miura. So there is that too.

Bottom line, If Miura is just seen as a forging house, then that’s fine, I’ll group them with endo and the others. Metal is metal, that’s great. No real genius involved there.

But by no means should they ever get credit for design, shaping and grind. That is the true genius behind the golf clubs, and why it’s truly special to have a set ground by Don White or Mike Taylor.

Again, anyone can forge metal into a crude shape, but it takes skill and craftsmanship to grind out the final product. And that final product is owned by the company that stamps their name on it or the craftsman, not the forging house that supplies the raw blanks.

My 2 cents.

Oh, by the way Miura did in fact make a T stamp set 681's. They were a limited to 500 sets and numbered set with  1/500- 500/500. Here's the two different sets.

Every was and a blue moon years ago I tried purchasing a set of these Miura forgings as they also came with a Certificate of authenticity.

PS: When this topic first came up I PM'd Mike Taylor over at Artisan, no reply and I posted on his facebook asking the question if he made Tiger's irons shown above.  No answer to question again. But I did see Golfwrx.com say they have an inside source stating that in fact Mike Taylor did make Tigers New proto's.
